Производит осмотры оборудования подстанций, контролирует нагрузки трансформаторов, производит опробование резервного оборудования, схем автоматики и сигнализации, проверяет состояние зданий и сооружений. Выполняет работы по техническому обслуживанию оборудования в соответствии с заданием старшего электромонтёра (бригадира), мастера, начальника СПС. Выяснять у вышестоящего оперативного персонала все изменения в схемах, закрепленных распорядительным документом подстанций, о местах производства работ, получить наряды (распоряжения) на производство работ. Производит оперативные переключения в электроустановках, входящих в зону обслуживания. Знать схему и режим работы энергоустановок, находящихся в его оперативном управлении и ведении в объёме, определяемом соответствующими инструкциями. Ведет оперативные переговоры с диспетчером ПО ЗКЭС, связанные с переключениями и действием релейной защиты. Обеспечивает установленный режим работы оборудования по напряжению, нагрузке, температуре и другим параметрам. Ведет оперативно-техническую документацию на рабочем месте; Подготавливает рабочие места для ремонтных бригад; Осуществляет допуск бригад на подготовленные рабочие места,при необходимости надзор за работой бригад. Принимает рабочие места и оборудование после окончания работ. Готовит схемы для опробования оборудования после ремонта.

Образование среднее профессиональное образование - программы подготовки квалифицированных рабочих, служащих и дополнительное профессиональное образование - программы повышения квалификации. Не ниже III группы по электробезопасности. Без опыта работы. Знание основы электротехники, технологии производства оперативных переключений, электрической схемы, эксплуатационных характеристик, основных параметров и режима работы оборудования на подстанциях, наиболее часто возникающих неисправностей и способов их устранения, назначение основного слесарного и монтерского оборудования, правила безопасности при работе и инструментом и приспособлениями.
