- Разрабатывает или принимает участие в разработке документов правового характера (устава, положения об учреждении, коллективного договора, правил внутреннего трудового распорядка, положения о закупках товаров, работ и услуг). - Осуществляет методическое руководство правовой работой в учреждении и оказывает правовую помощь его структурным подразделениям в оформлении различного рода правовых документов, участвует в подготовке обоснованных ответов при отклонении претензий. - Подготавливает, совместно с другими подразделениями учреждения, материалы о хищениях, растратах, недостачах, нарушении законодательства и об иных правонарушениях для передачи их в следственные и судебные органы, осуществляет учет и хранение находящихся в производстве и законченных исполнением судебных и арбитражных дел. - Участвует в разработке и осуществлении мероприятий по укреплению договорной, финансовой и трудовой дисциплины, обеспечению сохранности имущества учреждения. - Проводит изучение, анализ и обобщение результатов рассмотрения претензий, судебных и арбитражных дел, практики заключения и исполнения хозяйственных договоров с целью разработки соответствующих предложений об устранении выявленных недостатков и улучшении хозяйственно-финансовой деятельности учреждения. - Проверяет правильность составления нормативной правовой документации учреждения: трудовые договоры, дополнительные соглашения к ним. - Контролирует своевременность представления справок, расчетов, объяснений и других материалов для подготовки отчетов на претензии. - Подготавливает совместно с другими подразделениями предложения об изменении действующих или отмене утративших силу приказов и других нормативных актов, изданных в учреждении. - Ведет работу по систематизированному учету и хранению действующих законодательных нормативных актов, производит отметки об их отмене, изменениях и дополнениях, подготавливает справочную документацию на основе применения современных информационных технологий и вычислительных средств. - Принимает участие в подготовке заключений по правовым вопросам, возникающим в деятельности учреждения, проектам нормативных актов, поступающих на отзыв, а также в разработке предложений по совершенствованию деятельности учреждения. - Осуществляет информирование работников учреждения о действующем законодательстве и изменениях в нем, ознакомление должностных лиц учреждения с нормативными правовыми актами, относящимися к их деятельности. - Консультирует работников учреждения по организационно-правовым и другим юридическим вопросам, подготавливает заключения, оказывает содействие в оформлении документов и актов имущественно-правового характера. - Принимает участие в работе по заключению хозяйственных договоров, проведении их правовой экспертизы, а также рассмотрении вопросов о дебиторской и кредиторской задолженности.

На должность юрисконсульта назначается лицо, имеющее высшее профессиональное (специальное) образование без требования к стажу работы или среднее профессиональное (специальное) образование и стаж работы в должности юрисконсульта не менее 3-х лет.
