Начальник ССТ осуществляет общее руководство службой, обеспечивает бесперебойную работу спецтранспорта, средств аэродромной механизации по качественному обслуживанию элементов аэродрома, воздушных судов; Работник обязан организовывать и обеспечивать: выпуск на линию технически исправных спецмашин, автотракторной техники для обслуживания аэродрома, воздушных судов и общехозяйственных нужд Предприятия; безопасное движение спецтранспорта на аэродроме. Проводит обучение водителей правилам движения на аэродроме. Составлять календарные планы проверки теоретических и практических знаний и навыков водителей по вождению спецтранспорта на аэродроме. Организует работу кабинета безопасности движения, проводит лекции и занятия по вопросам безопасности движения с применением технических средств обучения и тренажеров; контроль за правильной технической эксплуатацией спецтранспорта в соответствии с действующими руководствами и инструкциями заводов изготовителей; ведение учета и отчетности по использованию спецтранспорта, ГСМ, материалов; планирование и проведение мероприятий по предотвращению повреждений ВС, дорожно-транспортных происшествий и задержек вылетов ВС по вине ССТ, экономное расходование ГСМ и материалов; хранение, техническое обслуживание и ремонт спецтранспорта, своевременную постановку и снятие спецтранспорта с государственного учета, а также их перерегистрацию; производить записи в формулярах и технических паспортах. Анализировать случаи отказов и нарушений в работе оборудования автомобилей, тракторов и принимает меры по их предупреждению. Составлять планы, инструкции, графики работы личного состава; оформлять установленную документацию и составляет отчетность. Изучать, обобщать и внедрять передовой опыт безопасной работы водителей, машинистов принимать участие в изучении и внедрении новой техники; прохождение водителями, машинистами инструктажа, медицинского осмотра; принятие решений при возникновении внештатных ситуаций; содержание в надлежащем санитарном и техническом состоянии служебные помещений, оборудования и инвентаря; проводить инвентаризацию вверенного имущества.

Высшее профессиональное (техническое) образование и стаж работы не менее 3-х лет.
