Электромеханик района контактной сети обеспечивает исправное состояние, безаварийную и надежную работу, обслуживаемых устройств контактной сети и линии электропередачи, правильную их эксплуатацию, своевременный и качественный ремонт, модернизацию в соответствии с инструкцией по техническому обслуживанию, утвержденными чертежами и схемами, действующими техническими условиями и нормами. Непосредственно руководит работами по текущему содержанию, ремонту и усилению устройств контактной сети, линий электропередачи и связанного с ними электрооборудования. Организует работу бригады электромонтеров на рабочем месте, инструктирует и лично участвует в работе в соответствии с нарядом на производство работ, приказом энергодиспетчера, установленной технологией и правилами техники безопасности. Обеспечивает правильное ограждение места работы и безопасность движения поездов. Отвечает за исправное состояние защитных средств, приспособлений и инструмента. Обеспечивает надзор за соблюдением Правил техники безопасности и технологии производства работ электромонтерами и другими работниками. Периодически осматривает контактную сеть и проверяет токосъем. Принимает участие в разработке мероприятий по повышению надежности, качества работы закрепленных технических средств, в освоение и модернизации действующих устройств. Принимает участие в расследовании причины повреждений оборудования и разработке мероприятий по предупреждению аварий и производственного травматизма. Обеспечивает безопасные условия труда, осуществляет контроль и несет ответственность за состояние охраны труда в подразделении в соответствии с должностными нормативами. Проводит: инструктажи, стажировки по охране труда подчиненного персонала; техническое обучение безопасным приемам работы и правилам первой доврачебной помощи закрепленного персонала.
