Приём пациентов. Врач проводит амбулаторный приём: собирает жалобы и анамнез (в том числе выявляет факторы риска), выполняет гинекологический осмотр (в том числе с зеркалом и бимануальное исследование), оценивает состояние. Диагностика и постановка диагноза. На основе собранной информации врач формулирует предварительный диагноз, составляет план обследований (лабораторных, инструментальных УЗИ, КТГ, кольпоскопия и др.) и интерпретирует их результаты. При необходимости проводит дифференциальную диагностику. Лечение и контроль. Врач назначает терапию, контролирует её эффективность и безопасность. При необходимости корректирует план лечения. В его задачи входит и проведение некоторых лечебных манипуляций (например, введение пессария, забор материала для исследований). Ведение беременности. Врач ведёт беременность от постановки на учёт до родов: регулярно наблюдает за состоянием женщины и плода, оценивает параметры (давление, вес, окружность живота, положение плода), фиксирует шевеления, назначает плановые обследования. Он также проводит профилактику осложнений. Послеродовой период. Специалист наблюдает за женщиной в первые дни после родов: оценивает здоровье, при необходимости снимает швы, назначает лечение, даёт рекомендации по восстановлению. При риске послеродовой депрессии может направить к психологу. Гинекологическая помощь. В обязанности входит диагностика и лечение различных гинекологических заболеваний, помощь в планировании семьи и подборе контрацепции. Реабилитация. Врач организует и контролирует мероприятия по медицинской реабилитации пациенток. Профилактика и просвещение. Специалист проводит санитарно-гигиеническое просвещение: рассказывает о здоровом образе жизни, влиянии вредных привычек на репродуктивное здоровье, даёт рекомендации по питанию, физической активности. Экспертиза. Врач проводит медицинские экспертизы, в том числе оформляет листки нетрудоспособности (выдаёт больничные листы). Организация работы. Если в подчинении есть средний и младший медицинский персонал, врач организует их работу. Документирование. Врач ведёт медицинскую документацию в установленном порядке. Анализ данных. В его задачи входит анализ медико-статистической информации. Экстренная помощь. При необходимости врач оказывает медицинскую помощь в экстренной форме. Информирование руководства. О выявленных сложных случаях или осложнениях врач сообщает заведующему консультацией.
