Некоторые обязанности медицинской сестры функциональной диагностики: Выполнение диагностических мероприятий, назначаемых врачом. Проведение функциональных диагностических исследований. Например, электрокардиографии (ЭКГ), электроэнцефалографии (ЭЭГ), спирографии, суточного мониторирования артериального давления и сердечного ритма. Подготовка диагностической и вспомогательной аппаратуры к работе, контроль её исправности, правильности эксплуатации, соблюдения техники безопасности. Текущий контроль за сохранностью и исправностью аппаратуры, своевременным её ремонтом и списанием. Устранение простейших технических неисправностей в работе аппаратов. Подготовка пациентов к исследованию, контроль их состояния во время проведения функционального исследования. Обеспечение инфекционной безопасности медицинского персонала и пациентов, выполнение требований санитарно-эпидемического надзора в отделении функциональной диагностики. Оказание доврачебной медицинской помощи при возникновении неотложных состояний. Своевременное и квалифицированное исполнение приказов, поручений и распоряжений руководства медицинского учреждения, а также нормативно-правовых актов, относящихся к профессиональной деятельности. Соблюдение техники безопасности и противопожарной безопасности, правил внутреннего распорядка, санитарно-эпидемиологического режима. Оперативное принятие мер по устранению нарушений санитарных и противопожарных правил и техники безопасности, которые представляют угрозу для деятельности медицинской организации, её работников, пациентов и посетителей, включая своевременное информирование руководства. Систематическое повышение профессиональной квалификации.

Для работы медицинской сестрой функциональной диагностики необходимо иметь среднее медицинское образование по специальности Сестринское дело, Лечебное дело или Акушерское дело . После получения базового образования нужно пройти профессиональную переподготовку по направлению Функциональная диагностика . Действующая аккредитация.
