Обязанности заведующего детским поликлиническим отделением врача-педиатра: Организовывать и контролировать работу врачей-педиатров, медицинских сестёр, кабинета здорового ребёнка. Проводить профилактические осмотры детей раннего возраста, контролировать выполнение режима, проведение мероприятий по профилактике алиментарных расстройств, рахита, анемии и других заболеваний. Организовывать работу по пропаганде и сохранению грудного вскармливания, рационального питания детей раннего возраста. Организовывать динамическое медицинское наблюдение за ростом и развитием детей. Контролировать проведение профилактической и лечебно-оздоровительной работы на территориальных участках. Организовывать помощь врачам по вопросам психологической, медико-социальной и правовой помощи детям и семьям, защите прав детей, профилактике социального сиротства, беспризорности. Внедрять новые профилактические и лечебно-диагностические технологии, готовить научно-практические работы. Организовывать работу по оказанию первой и неотложной медицинской помощи больным при острых и обострении хронических заболеваний, травмах, отравлениях и других неотложных состояниях. Проводить профилактические мероприятия по предупреждению и снижению заболеваемости, выявлению ранних и скрытых форм и факторов риска. Организовывать при необходимости стационар на дому, обеспечивать его работу. Организовывать динамическое медицинское наблюдение за детьми с хронической патологией, находящихся на диспансерном учёте, их своевременное оздоровление. Составлять графики работы врачей-педиатров, медицинских сестёр, распределять нагрузку, организовывать приём больных в поликлинике и обслуживание вызовов на дому. Проводить анализ работы отделения по основным показателям работы (заболеваемость, диспансеризация, экспертиза нетрудоспособности, своевременность и обоснованность госпитализации).

Высшее образование специалитет по одной из специальностей: Лечебное дело, Педиатрия и подготовка в интернатуре/ординатуре по специальности Педиатрия, или высшее образование специалитет по специальности Педиатрия (полученное после 1 января 2016 г. для замещения должности врач-педиатр участковый). Профессиональную переподготовку по специальности Педиатрия при наличии подготовки в ординатуре по специальности Общая врачебная практика (семейная медицина) . Действующий сертификат или свидетельство об аккредитации по специальности Педиатрия .
