Проводить мероприятия с персоналом по обеспечению надежной, безаварийной и экономичной работы всего закрепленного за КТЦ оборудования, а также готовности оборудования к несению электрической и тепловой нагрузки. Осуществлять проверки (обходы и осмотры) рабочих мест по нарядам-допускам, распоряжениям и актам-допускам. Участвовать в разработке новых и периодически пересматриваемых действующих технологических схем, производственных и должностных инструкций. Участвовать в составлении программ испытаний оборудования КТЦ после монтажа, перед выводом в ремонт и после ремонта. Осуществлять руководство сложными переключениями на оборудовании КТЦ согласно утвержденным программам. Осуществлять руководство испытаниями на оборудовании КТЦ при приемке в работу после ремонта и реконструкции по утвержденным программам. Осуществлять организационную подготовку к пуску и останову основного оборудования КТЦ. Обобщать и внедрять передовые приемы и методы ведения режимов работы основного и вспомогательного оборудования КТЦ. Обеспечивать вывод в ремонт основного и вспомогательного оборудования КТЦ для проведения плановых ремонтов и своевременного устранения дефектов. Проводить инструктажи, обучение безопасным приемам и методам труда, оказанию первой и реанимационной помощи пострадавшим. Проводить противоаварийные и противопожарные тренировки, занятия по специальной подготовке. Проводить проверку качества знаний персонала при подготовке на должность и в период предэкзаменационной подготовки, осуществлять контроль за своевременностью проверки знаний подчинённого персонала. Осуществлять контроль за выполнением требований действующих правил и инструкций на каждом рабочем месте подчиненного персонала. Вести журнал учета рабочего времени оперативного и оперативно-ремонтного персонала котлотурбинного цеха. Участвовать в ликвидации последствий аварий на оборудовании КТЦ. Участвовать в комиссиях по расследованию аварий, несчастных случаев в КТЦ. Постоянно контролировать техническое состояние оборудования. Обеспечивать максимальную экономичность и надежность энергопроизводства.

Высшее образование бакалавриат или cреднее профессиональное образование и дополнительное обучение по программе подготовки на должность начальника смены котлотурбинного цеха. 13.02.01 Тепловые электрические станции. 13.02.02 Теплоснабжение и теплотехническое оборудование. 13.03.01 Теплоэнергетика и теплотехника.
