Осуществлять нормативное обеспечение системы управления охраной труда. Осуществлять обеспечение подготовки работников в области охраны труда. Обеспечивать снижение уровней профессиональных рисков с учетом условий труда. Осуществлять сбор, обработку и передачу информации по вопросам условий и охраны труда. Обеспечивать контроль за соблюдением требований охраны труда. Обеспечивать контроль за состоянием условий труда на рабочих местах. Обеспечивать расследования и учет несчастных случаев на производстве и профессиональных заболеваний. Определять цели и задачи (политики), процессы управления охраной труда и оценку эффективности системы управления охраной труда. Распределять полномочия, ответственность, обязанности по вопросам охраны труда и обоснования ресурсного обеспечения. Составлять, реализовывать и осуществлять контроль за исполнением бюджета Общества в сфере охраны труда.

Высшее образование по направлению подготовки "Техносферная безопасность" или соответствующим ему направлениям подготовки (специальностям) по обеспечению безопасности производственной деятельности, а также стаж работы в области охраны труда не менее 3 лет; Высшее образование и дополнительное профессиональное образование (профессиональная переподготовка) в области охраны труда, а также стаж работы в области охраны труда не менее 3 лет.; Ведущий специалист по охране труда должен знать: федеральные законы и нормативные правовые документы, регламентирующие осуществление предпринимательской и коммерческой деятельности, в том числе законодательство и правовую базу субъектов Российской Федерации; законодательные и нормативные правовые акты, методические материалы по вопросам охраны труда; основные технологические процессы производства Общества; методы изучения условий труда на рабочих местах; организацию работы по охране труда; систему стандартов безопасности труда; психофизиологические требования к работникам, исходя из категории тяжести работ, ограничения применения труда женщин, подростков и других работников, переведенных на легкий труд; порядок и сроки составления отчетности о выполнении мероприятий по охране труда; ассортимент, классификацию, характеристику и назначение реализуемого Обществом оборудования (товара); основы трудового законодательства; правила и нормы охраны труда, техники безопасности, производственной санитарии и противопожарной защиты объектов.
