Участвует в мониторинге реализации мероприятий по информатизации органов местного самоуправления муниципальных образований Ульяновской области. Участвует в мониторинге создания, развития, ввода в эксплуатацию, эксплуатации государственных информационных систем Ульяновской области и дальнейшего хранения содержащейся в их базах данных информации. Участвует в мониторинге планов, целевых программ, муниципальных программ, стратегий, концепций и (или) иных документов, предусматривающих долгосрочные приоритеты и (или) мероприятий по информатизации органов местного самоуправления муниципальных образований Ульяновской области. Участвует в организации размещения сведений в федеральной государственной информационной системе Единая система координации информатизации . Участвует в ведении информационного ресурса Координация мероприятий по информатизации . Анализирует статистические данные, состояние и тенденции применения информационных и коммуникационных технологий в исполнительных органах Ульяновской области и местного самоуправления Ульяновской области и Российской Федерации. Участвует в организационно-техническом и информационно-аналитическом обеспечении Правительственной комиссии по развитию цифровой экономики и использованию информационных технологий для улучшения качества жизни и условий ведения предпринимательской деятельности в Ульяновской области. Участвует в разработке проектов нормативных актов Ульяновской области, отнесённых к компетенции департамента. Участвует в рассмотрении обращений граждан и организаций по вопросам, отнесённым к компетенции департамента. Изучает международный и региональный опыт работы по вопросам, отнесённым к компетенции департамента.
