Создание условий и обеспечение грамотной эксплуатации звукооператорами звукотехнической аппаратуры и коммуникаций, участие в разработке мероприятий по повышению качества звукового и светового обеспечения мероприятий. Ответственность за грамотную эксплуатацию и техническую исправность светотехнического комплекса. Руководство художественно-постановочным отделом. Руководство работами по созданию смет, технической документации и чертежей художественно-декоративного оформления и его изготовлению. Организация работы по изготовлению декораций и художественному оформлению мероприятий, по монтажу декораций и художественно-декоративному оформлению, как на стационаре, так и на выездных мероприятиях, ремонтными и профилактическими работами сцены и её механизмов. Ответственность за техническое качество звука и световое оформление при проведении репетиций и мероприятий.

Знание технологии изготовления всех компонентов сценического оформления; устройства и оборудования сцены, ее технических возможностей. Знание свойств, специфики и фактуры материалов, применяемых в производстве сценическо-постановочных средств. Знание правил технической эксплуатации применяемого оборудования. Знание правил хранения и транспортировки декораций, костюмов, других элементов вещественного оформления. Знание правил светового решения мероприятий и эксплуатации световой аппаратуры. Знание живописных систем и стилей, способов их имитации в сценическом оформлении. Знание отечественных и зарубежных достижений в области сценографии, сценической техники и технологии. Наличие навыков организации концертно-театрального производства.
