SENIOR REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – AUTOMOTIVE STEEL Singapore | Indonesia & ASEAN

Have you developed automotive steel accounts across Southeast Asia and would welcome the opportunity to shape a regional business?

JobAlly is supporting an established international steel and materials trading organisation in appointing an experienced commercial professional to grow its automotive steel business across Indonesia and ASEAN.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take a lead role in developing the market, building customer relationships and securing profitable business.

This could be a meaningful next step for someone currently managing automotive steel sales or key accounts who is ready for broader commercial responsibility.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Shape the market development approach, with an initial focus on Indonesia. • Develop relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers, processors and steel service centres. • Grow sales of galvanized, coated, painted and specialty automotive steels. • Connect customer requirements with suitable regional and international mill supply. • Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and commercial terms. • Manage sales targets, trading margins and commercial risk. • Work with operations, finance and credit colleagues to support deal execution and customer delivery.

WHO WE WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK WITH

You may currently be a Senior Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Key Account Manager, Steel Trader, Group Leader or Deputy General Manager.

Your title may differ; we are particularly interested in your experience developing automotive steel business.

The client is looking for:

• At least 10 years of steel trading experience, including five years in the automotive sector. • A proven record of originating and closing automotive steel business. • Direct experience with galvanized, coated, painted or specialty automotive steels. • Strong understanding of automotive customers’ material specifications, quality expectations and supply requirements. • Relevant customer relationships in Indonesia and/or ASEAN. • Confidence in pricing, negotiation, margin management and new business development.

We welcome relevant professionals from steel trading houses, steel mills and automotive steel service centres, including those whose roles combine sales, sourcing and physical trade execution.

Exposure to EV supply chains or advanced high-strength steels would be an advantage.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE WORTH EXPLORING?

Singapore-based | Full-time, permanent Regional travel: approximately 20–30%
