Overview

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in controlling financial information and ensuring the reliability of accounting and management reports. You will lead monthly and annual closing processes, collaborate with internal teams and accounting partners, and coordinate information required for external audits. Through financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting improvements, you will help identify discrepancies and strengthen internal controls. You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process optimization. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional who values autonomy, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities

  • Financial Closing Management: Lead and monitor monthly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information remains accurate, consistent, and reliable.
  • External Audit Coordination: Serve as a key point of contact for external audits, preparing, reviewing, and organizing requested documents and information while ensuring data traceability and consistency.
  • Financial Analysis and Controllership: Support financial performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other controllership activities to provide relevant insights for management decisions.
  • Account Reconciliation and Review: Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, identify discrepancies and variations, investigate deviations, and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, review, and improve financial controls, spreadsheets, and procedures to strengthen reporting quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting and Data Integrity: Ensure financial records and reports are complete, accurate, and properly documented, supporting reliable accounting and management information.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments and accounting partners to resolve closing issues, align financial information, and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline financial routines, improve controls, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Budget and Forecast Support: Contribute to financial planning activities by reviewing budget information, monitoring results, and supporting variance analysis.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote best practices in financial management, reporting, and closing procedures while helping strengthen the organization's financial processes.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: Solid experience in financial controllership, accounting, or auditing, with practical involvement in monthly and annual accounting close processes.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of account reconciliation and the analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret financial statements, investigate variances, identify inconsistencies, and support appropriate corrective actions.
  • Audit Experience: Familiarity with preparing documentation, organizing financial evidence, and supporting external audit procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to organize, analyze, and validate complex financial information.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate closing activities, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Autonomy and Accountability: A proactive, organized, and responsible approach to work, with the ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments, accounting teams, and external auditors.
  • Experience working in technology companies, SaaS businesses, or organizations with recurring revenue models.
  • Previous experience coordinating or supporting external audits.
  • Experience automating financial processes and improving internal controls.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and processes in SaaS businesses.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting improvements and the optimization of accounting close procedures.
