This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director-Senior Manager, Global Master Data Management Engineering/Ops based in the United States.
This is a senior technology leadership role responsible for shaping and operating a global Master Data Management ecosystem supporting critical business functions. You will lead the strategy, engineering, configuration, integration, and day-to-day operations of enterprise MDM platforms and data environments. The role spans Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, and Corporate Systems, with strong connections to enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and business applications. You will guide teams, influence senior stakeholders, and establish scalable data practices that improve quality, performance, security, and business value. The position offers significant strategic influence, including advancing modern data architecture and AI-ready data capabilities. You will work across a highly collaborative, matrixed environment with technology, business, regulatory, and external partners. Accountabilities
- Own the global Master Data Management platform and data landscape, continuously assessing organizational needs and driving data harmonization to support business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Global Master Data Management Engineering/Ops team, ensuring team members have the technical and business capabilities needed to deliver results.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics for MDM domains and environments, using insights to identify opportunities for process and operational improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business and technology partners while strengthening their understanding of MDM capabilities and processes.
- Define and communicate recommendations, policies, and strategic decisions to senior technology leadership.
- Partner with internal teams to gather and translate requirements for initiatives involving enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and connected business solutions.
- Lead system improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, enhance performance, strengthen reliability, and improve operational capabilities across MDM environments.
- Maintain proactive engagement with executives, directors, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and execute improvement initiatives.
- Support business teams in effectively using MDM tools and applications through education, training, content development, and tool enhancements.
- Oversee projects and strategic initiatives involving internal teams and external partners, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Help advance a global, scalable MDM architecture capable of supporting enterprise applications and AI environments.
- Promote high-quality, trusted data as an organizational asset and enable data-driven insights that support broader business strategies.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory, safety, security, and organizational policies and communicate significant issues or opportunities to appropriate leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, preferably in Master Data Management, enterprise technology, data engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated people-management and team-leadership experience, including a track record of mentoring teams and delivering measurable quality or process improvements.
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting MDM technologies such as SAP MDG or Reltio.
- Experience developing enterprise or business-specific MDM strategies incorporating data architecture, data governance, and AI data-readiness considerations.
- Strong understanding of MDM across areas such as Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial, and Corporate Systems.
- Proven project and account management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities, testing strategies, tight timelines, budgets, and external outsourcing partners.
- Strong business acumen combined with technical credibility and the ability to translate complex technology concepts into business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization and collaborate across senior leadership, technology, business, and external partner groups.
- Strong judgment and independent decision-making skills, particularly when balancing business priorities, technical considerations, and strategic objectives.
- Experience developing training materials and delivering instruction to audiences at different organizational levels.
- Familiarity with process-improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Experience in analyst roles, call-center support structures, query/report writing, incentive compensation systems, and Microsoft Office tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships and maintaining alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Competitive base salary range of $122,000–$212,750.
- Fully remote work options within the United States, with listed locations including Raritan, NJ; Raynham, MA; and West Chester, PA.

- 120 hours of vacation per calendar year.
