This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate/Senior Associate, Investor Relations based in United States.
This role supports the continued growth and execution of an investor relations function within a dynamic biopharmaceutical environment. You will contribute to market and business analysis, investor communications, shareholder engagement, and day-to-day IR program execution. The position provides meaningful exposure to business strategy, senior leadership, investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders. You will analyze sophisticated financial and industry information and translate it into clear insights that inform messaging and decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with Finance, Commercial, Clinical, Legal, Corporate Communications, and other internal teams. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of important workstreams while improving and automating processes, analyses, and investor materials. This position is based in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week and is not available as a fully remote role.
Accountabilities:
- Maintain and enhance consensus analyses while monitoring analyst research, estimates, and investor sentiment to identify shifts in expectations and key areas of investor focus.
- Conduct shareholder, competitive, market, and business analyses to inform investor relations strategy and external messaging.
- Draft and support the development of earnings presentations, investor materials, management and Board materials, and other communications.
- Support investor and analyst engagement through research, briefing materials, meeting preparation, conference coordination, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain the investor relations calendar and relationship management system while coordinating project timelines, scheduling, logistics, and key deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Commercial, Clinical, Legal, Corporate Communications, and other internal stakeholders to support IR priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate investor relations processes, analyses, and materials, and take initiative in implementing improvements.
- Analyze financial models and valuation frameworks, assess key assumptions and value drivers, and synthesize actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Support the broader investor relations strategy by developing a strong understanding of the business, industry dynamics, investor perspectives, and capital markets.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, life sciences, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, finance, investing, or a related discipline.
- Healthcare or biopharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and financial aptitude with a genuine interest in business, valuation, and capital markets.
- Ability to evaluate financial models and valuation frameworks, challenge assumptions, identify key value drivers, and communicate actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn complex financial, technical, and business information into clear and concise messages.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, combined with good visual judgment and presentation skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity, anticipating needs, and moving workstreams forward independently.
- High emotional intelligence and sound judgment, including the ability to determine when to act independently and when to seek input or escalate an issue.
- Receptive to feedback, intellectually curious, eager to learn, and motivated to continuously expand capabilities.
- Ability to work on-site in New York City on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week; fully remote candidates cannot be considered.
- $90,000–$115,000 anticipated salary range.
