The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a C# Coding Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project based in Canada.

This freelance opportunity is designed for experienced C# developers who want to apply their software engineering expertise to the advancement of artificial intelligence. You will help improve large language models by evaluating their ability to solve complex coding challenges and reason through technical problems. Working across algorithms, data structures, software architecture, and systems programming, you will assess code quality, correctness, and clarity. You will identify model limitations, document reproducible errors, and provide actionable feedback to strengthen AI performance. The role combines hands-on programming knowledge with analytical thinking and technical communication in a flexible, remote environment. Your contributions will help make AI systems more reliable, capable, and effective for developers worldwide.

Accountabilities:

  • Engage with AI models on software engineering tasks, coding exercises, and technical scenarios using C#.
  • Evaluate model responses for logical accuracy, coding fluency, correctness, and overall code quality.
  • Assess solutions involving algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, software architecture, and frontend and backend development.
  • Test and evaluate technical topics such as asynchronous programming, RESTful API integration, memory management, secure coding practices, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems debugging.
  • Identify and document errors, reasoning gaps, and failure patterns with clear, reproducible examples.
  • Review code for readability, maintainability, efficiency, and adherence to sound software engineering practices.
  • Provide detailed explanations of technical decisions and demonstrate the reasoning behind correct solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to prompts, evaluation criteria, and testing methods to strengthen AI coding capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience programming in C# and solving real-world software engineering problems.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and software architecture.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, memory management, secure coding, and debugging techniques.
  • Understanding of frontend and backend development, cloud infrastructure, or systems programming.
  • Ability to analyze code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and maintainability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to technical detail.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, including the ability to explain reasoning and document findings clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks effectively, and provide consistent, evidence-based evaluations.
  • A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Experience writing technical documentation or explaining complex programming concepts.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or other demonstrable software development work.
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated code or working with language models is beneficial.
  • Hourly compensation ranging from $8 to $65, depending on experience, expertise, and geographic location.
  • Fully remote contract work with flexibility in how you organize your work.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems.
  • Practical application of software engineering expertise to challenging technical problems.
  • Contractor arrangement: You must provide your own secure computer and high-speed internet connection.
  • Company-sponsored benefits, including health insurance and paid time off, are not provided under this contract.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
