Join a technical services team responsible for maintaining reliable, efficient commercial building systems. As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will service, install, troubleshoot, and repair a range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Your work will help keep facilities operating safely while minimizing equipment downtime and delivering dependable service to customers. You will handle preventive maintenance, emergency service requests, equipment replacements, and facility improvement recommendations. Accountabilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and water source heat pumps.
- Service, install, and maintain refrigeration systems and ice machines.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, equipment changeouts, and repairs to help prevent unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose equipment issues, determine appropriate repairs, and replace faulty components or equipment as needed.
- Respond to emergency service requests and complete assigned work efficiently and safely.
- Inspect facility systems, identify mechanical deficiencies, and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
- Participate in facility-related projects and support the successful completion of technical service assignments.
- Deliver excellent customer service and communicate clearly with customers and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork promptly.
- Use company-provided equipment, including a service vehicle when available, cellphone, and tablet, to perform daily responsibilities.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Report to assigned jobs on time, manage work independently, and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
- EPA certification is required.
- Two to five years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
- Demonstrated ability to service, install, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ice machines, chillers, cooling towers, and water source heat pumps.
- Familiarity with light commercial HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, organization, and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and respond effectively to emergency service needs.
- Familiarity with industry-specific service software is an advantage but is not required.
- Ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 30 pounds, lift up to 75 pounds, work in confined spaces, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Willingness to work authorized overtime and travel as needed.
- Ability to meet applicable security clearance requirements and successfully pass drug screening, background checks, and driver’s license checks.
- Hourly pay: $35–$50, equivalent to approximately $72,800–$104,000 annually based on a 40-hour workweek.

- On-call compensation: $150 per scheduled on-call shift.
- Kickoff Tech Program: Choose one of the following options: $3,500 cash bonus, paid in four equal quarterly installments. 40 additional hours of floating holidays. $1,250 in technical training reimbursement. Paid time off: Starting at 48 hours, increasing to as much as 168 hours with tenure. Paid holidays: Seven annually, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
