The Community Lead, APAC will strengthen relationships across the Managed Service Provider (MSP) ecosystem and expand the organization's presence throughout the Asia-Pacific region. This role combines community building, partner engagement, cybersecurity education, and strategic collaboration to help MSPs grow their businesses and connect with the right resources. You will develop regional initiatives, represent partner perspectives internally, and build trusted relationships with MSP owners, peer group leaders, and industry influencers. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Account Management, and Partner Success teams, you will help identify valuable business opportunities and support revenue growth. The position offers a mix of strategic ownership and hands-on engagement through industry events, educational programs, and creative partner experiences. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced channel professional to make a meaningful impact in a remote-first, collaborative cybersecurity environment.

Accountabilities

  • Lead regional community initiatives: Own and deliver community programs and special projects aligned with APAC business priorities, ensuring activities support partner engagement and regional growth.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, Account Management, Marketing, Sales Development Representatives, and Partner Success teams to identify strategic partners and align initiatives with the needs of APAC MSPs.
  • Represent partner perspectives: Serve as an advocate for the regional partner community, synthesizing feedback, emerging needs, and growth opportunities for Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Build a strong industry presence: Attend and actively participate in APAC industry events, peer groups, and external channel communities to develop relationships and strengthen brand awareness.
  • Support revenue generation: Help engage high-potential prospect accounts and connect qualified MSPs with the appropriate sales teams to support pipeline development and business growth.
  • Deliver educational programs: Organize and facilitate in-person and virtual events covering cybersecurity trends, business development, and opportunities for MSP partners.
  • Develop strategic relationships: Build and maintain trusted partnerships with MSP owners, influential peer group leaders, and other industry stakeholders, positioning the organization as a valuable long-term partner.
  • Create memorable partner experiences: Design and deliver creative engagement initiatives that strengthen loyalty, deepen relationships, and foster a strong sense of community.
  • Manage projects independently: Coordinate multiple initiatives, prioritize competing demands, and ensure programs are delivered effectively while maintaining alignment with regional objectives.
  • Represent the community externally: Communicate confidently with partners and industry audiences, building credibility and influencing stakeholders across different settings and seniority levels.
  • At least five years of experience in community management, partner engagement, field engagement, or a related role within the MSP or broader channel industry.
  • Strong understanding of the MSP and channel business models, along with familiarity with the cybersecurity landscape and the challenges facing service providers.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence executive-level partners, MSP owners, and industry leaders in person, virtually, on stage, in boardrooms, and at networking events.
  • Proven relationship-building skills and the ability to establish trust with partners, community leaders, and other influential stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and executing community initiatives, partner programs, educational events, or industry engagement strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple complex initiatives and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to synthesize partner feedback and translate it into actionable insights for internal teams.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach, with the ability to connect community engagement to broader business and revenue objectives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including international travel to the United States once or twice per year.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment while collaborating with colleagues and partners across the APAC region and internationally.
  • Fully remote work: Work remotely from Australia while collaborating with a distributed team.
  • Travel and community engagement: Participate in at least one annual trip to the United States for the Summer Summit, alongside local events and partner activities in Australia.
  • Home office setup reimbursement: Receive an AUD $800 reimbursement to help establish your home office when starting.
  • Monthly digital allowance: Receive AUD $185 per month toward personal phone and internet expenses.
  • Monthly home office technology stipend: Receive AUD $40 per month to upgrade or replace home office equipment.
  • Paid parental leave: Access 12 weeks of paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers.
  • Private health insurance: Benefit from subsidized private health insurance through a preferred provider.
  • Equity participation: Receive stock options as a full-time employee.
  • Personal and professional development: Access the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal growth, and professional development.
  • Inclusive workplace culture: Join a team committed to creating an environment where people from diverse backgrounds feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
