The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cybersecurity Presales Consultant - Remote based in India.

This is a senior technical pre-sales role focused on designing secure, compliant, and commercially viable cybersecurity solutions for enterprise clients. You will translate complex client requirements, RFPs, and tender specifications into compelling solution architectures and technical proposals. The role spans opportunity qualification, multi-vendor coordination, solution design, effort estimation, and proof-of-concept execution. You will work closely with sales, delivery teams, vendors, SMEs, and client stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and executable. The position offers broad exposure across network, cloud, identity, endpoint, SOC, data, and application security domains. You will also help shape pipeline strategy and contribute directly to successful business outcomes. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity professional who combines strong architecture expertise with commercial awareness and client-facing communication skills.

Accountabilities

  • Review RFPs, RFQs, tenders, and client requirements to assess technical feasibility, mandatory compliance, solution gaps, risks, and overall opportunity viability.
  • Provide early technical qualification and go/no-go recommendations while identifying suitable technologies, vendors, solution stacks, and positioning strategies.
  • Design high-level and detailed cybersecurity architectures, reference designs, solution maps, and logical and physical diagrams aligned with client environments and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop solutions across cybersecurity domains including network security, endpoint and XDR, IAM and PAM, SIEM/SOAR, SOC, cloud security, data security, DLP, vulnerability management, email security, and web security.
  • Align proposed architectures with recognized security frameworks and principles such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and Zero Trust.
  • Act as a primary technical liaison with cybersecurity vendors, coordinating BOQs, quotations, technical write-ups, compliance statements, and solution inputs.
  • Validate vendor responses against tender and client requirements and ensure consistency across multi-vendor solutions.
  • Develop implementation effort estimates, resource models, role definitions, seniority requirements, man-day/man-month calculations, and delivery assumptions.
  • Break down estimated effort across design, implementation, integration, testing, knowledge transfer, documentation, support, and transition activities.
  • Work with delivery and project management teams to validate assumptions, resource requirements, timelines, SLAs, and the practical feasibility of proposed delivery models.
  • Support commercial teams by translating technical scope into pricing inputs, services BOQs, cost breakdowns, and optimization opportunities.
  • Plan and coordinate Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Value, defining scope, success criteria, test scenarios, evaluation metrics, and expected outcomes.
  • Lead remote technical discovery sessions, workshops, solution walkthroughs, architecture presentations, and responses to technical clarifications.
  • Contribute to technical proposals, compliance matrices, solution descriptions, executive summaries, assumptions, dependencies, and RFP responses.
  • Maintain reusable reference architectures, solution templates, technical assets, estimation models, and effort baselines to improve future proposal efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Delivery, vendor account managers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to align technical strategy with pipeline and business objectives.
  • Contribute to strong technical win rates, accurate estimates, successful POCs, efficient proposal delivery, and overall pipeline conversion.
  • 7+ years of experience across cybersecurity engineering, architecture, and pre-sales roles, including at least 3 years in a customer-facing or pre-sales architecture capacity.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise RFPs, RFQs, tenders, technical bids, or large-scale cybersecurity opportunities.
  • Strong expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including NGFW, IPS, network segmentation, SASE, endpoint/XDR, IAM, PAM, MFA, Zero Trust, SIEM, SOAR, SOC architecture, cloud security, DLP, vulnerability management, and email/web security.
  • Strong solution architecture and design documentation skills, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical security architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-vendor solution integration and the ability to evaluate vendor technologies against client requirements.
  • Proven experience with effort estimation, resource planning, services sizing, delivery modeling, and translating technical scope into cost and pricing inputs.
  • Strong understanding of services pricing models and the relationship between solution design, implementation effort, project scope, and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience planning and executing POCs/POVs, including defining objectives, success criteria, test scenarios, and evaluation metrics.
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity architecture lifecycle, from discovery and requirements analysis through design, proposal, implementation, and transition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting complex technical concepts to clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills across clients, sales teams, vendors, SMEs, delivery teams, and project management functions.
  • Structured problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable conducting remote technical workshops and collaborating across multiple time zones.
  • Proficiency with remote collaboration, proposal, diagramming, and estimation tools such as Teams, Zoom, Visio, Draw.IO, RFP response platforms, and costing templates.
  • One or more relevant cloud or vendor certifications is preferred, including certifications associated with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, CrowdStrike, or similar cybersecurity platforms.
  • TOGAF or an equivalent architecture certification is an additional advantage.
  • Candidates with stronger expertise in either cybersecurity or pre-sales may be considered, provided they demonstrate meaningful capability across both areas.
  • Fully remote, full-time position based in India.
  • Long-term opportunity supporting enterprise cybersecurity clients, including engagements that may require collaboration across international time zones.
  • Opportunity to work across a broad range of cybersecurity technologies, architectures, vendors, and security frameworks.
  • High-impact role with direct influence on opportunity qualification, solution strategy, proposal quality, and pipeline conversion.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise RFPs, tenders, technical evaluations, POCs, and multi-vendor solution environments.
  • Opportunity to collaborate closely with sales, engineering, delivery, vendors, SMEs, and senior client stakeholders.
  • Professional growth through continued exposure to cybersecurity architecture, pre-sales, commercial strategy, and enterprise technology.
  • Opportunity to develop reusable architectures, solution frameworks, estimation models, and technical assets.
  • Remote-first working environment supported by modern collaboration and proposal tools.
  • Competitive long-term career opportunity for experienced cybersecurity and pre-sales professionals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
