The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Product, Homeowner & Partner Experience based in the United States.

As Director of Product, Homeowner & Partner Experience, you will shape the end-to-end digital journeys that help homeowners access financial solutions and enable partners to serve their customers effectively. You will own product strategy across the consumer acquisition funnel, application experience, homeowner portal, post-origination journey, and wholesale partner channel. Reporting to the VP of Product & Engineering, you will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning product management, marketing technology, and product design. You will use customer research, analytics, and experimentation to improve conversion, increase partner adoption, and deliver intuitive, trustworthy experiences. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, you will guide growth initiatives and support business expansion. This is an opportunity to combine strategic product leadership, strong design judgment, and data-driven execution in a remote-first, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities

  • Own Product Strategy and Roadmaps: Define and drive the product vision and roadmap across the homeowner acquisition funnel, application experience, portal, post-origination journey, and partner-facing digital experiences.
  • Develop the Wholesale Partner Experience: Lead product strategy for partner onboarding, application submissions, pricing displays, transaction workflows, and partner communications to improve usability and adoption across the channel.
  • Drive Business Expansion: Lead product planning for new markets, channels, and growth opportunities, partnering with Legal and Compliance on eligibility requirements, disclosures, and state-specific product variations.
  • Improve Conversion and Growth: Own end-to-end funnel performance, establish an experimentation cadence, diagnose customer drop-off, and collaborate with Analytics, Sales, and Revenue Operations to improve conversion and funding outcomes.
  • Guide Marketing Technology Strategy: Oversee marketing technology priorities, including attribution, lead capture and routing, campaign infrastructure, customer segmentation, and lifecycle communications, ensuring consistent messaging throughout the customer journey.
  • Lead and Develop Product Teams: Coach and support the Homeowner Experience Product Manager, Martech Product Manager, and Senior Product Designer, building a proactive, accountable team focused on high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen Product Discovery: Establish a robust research and discovery practice for homeowners and partners, using customer insights and evidence to shape roadmap priorities before solutions are defined.
  • Champion Design Excellence: Set a high bar for usability, consistency, and visual quality across consumer and partner experiences, ensuring product design creates meaningful differentiation.
  • Build Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with executive leadership, Sales, Marketing, Product Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to align product priorities with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Support Reliable Product Launches: Ensure launches include appropriate analytics instrumentation, stakeholder enablement, operational readiness, and clear handoffs to support teams.
  • Clarify Platform Ownership: Coordinate with the Director of Product, Business Platform, maintaining clear responsibility for homeowner- and partner-facing experiences while aligning with the underlying workflows and records infrastructure.
  • Measure Product Success: Define and track key performance indicators, including funnel conversion, homeowner satisfaction, partner adoption, submission quality, and time to funding, using insights to guide continuous improvement.
  • Support Organizational Growth: Partner with People Operations on hiring plans, team structure, and organizational design as product scope and business needs evolve.
  • Product Management Experience: At least 8 years of product management experience, including substantial ownership of consumer-facing products, customer journeys, conversion funnels, and growth initiatives.
  • B2C Product Expertise: At least 5 years working on business-to-consumer products in financial services, real estate, property technology, or a related technology sector.
  • Growth and Experimentation: Demonstrated success using data-driven hypotheses, funnel analytics, experimentation, and conversion optimization to improve measurable business outcomes.
  • B2B2C or Partner Channel Experience: Experience building products that serve business partners who engage or support end customers, including partner onboarding and transaction workflows.
  • People Leadership: Experience managing product managers and/or designers, with the ability to coach teams, set clear priorities, and transition from individual product ownership to broader strategic leadership.
  • Product Design Judgment: Strong design sensibility and the ability to guide product quality, usability, and customer experience without needing to perform design work directly.
  • Startup or Growth-Stage Background: Experience working in a startup or scaling organization, demonstrating adaptability, sound judgment, and comfort with evolving priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to represent homeowner and partner needs in executive discussions and explain how product decisions affect downstream outcomes.
  • Preferred Fintech or Proptech Experience: Background in financial technology, property technology, or consumer lending is an advantage, particularly involving regulated application flows and customer disclosures.
  • Product and Channel Expansion: Experience launching a new product line, distribution channel, or business offering within an established organization is preferred.
  • Marketing Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with attribution systems, CRM-integrated campaign tools, lead routing, and lifecycle messaging is beneficial.
  • Regulatory Collaboration: Experience working with Legal and Compliance teams on state-specific requirements, consumer disclosures, and regulated product experiences is an asset.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to combine customer research, product analytics, and business objectives to prioritize opportunities and make well-supported decisions.
  • Location and Work Arrangement: The role is remote, with an option for onsite or hybrid work for candidates located near San Diego, California.
  • Competitive Total Compensation: On-target earnings of $205,000–$240,000 per year, inclusive of base salary and a biannual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.
  • Remote-First Flexibility: Work remotely, with the option for onsite or hybrid collaboration near San Diego, California.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families, with eligibility beginning on the first day of employment.
  • Retirement and Financial Benefits: Compensation structure includes performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Flexible Paid Time Off: Generous PTO to support rest, personal commitments, and work-life balance.
  • Parental Leave: Paid parental leave to support employees and their families during important life transitions.
  • Remote Work Resources: Monthly cell phone and internet stipends to support effective remote work.
  • Workspace Access: Access to WeWork locations for additional flexibility and collaborative working options.
  • Inclusive Team Culture: Join a team that values transparency, innovation, inclusion, and shared success.
  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to lead a broad product portfolio, develop a multidisciplinary team, and influence product strategy in a growing financial and property technology environment.
  • Meaningful Customer Impact: Help homeowners access financial options connected to their home equity while building better digital experiences for homeowners and business partners.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
