The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product Strategy and Operations based in India.

We are seeking a hands-on product strategy and operations leader to strengthen how product strategy translates into investment decisions, execution, customer adoption, and business performance. In this director-level role, you will build and maintain the operating framework that enables product leadership to make informed decisions, prioritize effectively, and measure outcomes across a SaaS product portfolio. You will partner closely with senior executives, Finance, go-to-market teams, and global product stakeholders to improve planning, governance, reporting, and monetization. Using customer insights, product analytics, and AI-powered automation, you will streamline workflows, surface portfolio risks, and reduce manual operational effort. You will also help connect customer feedback, product-market fit, packaging, and adoption metrics to strategic priorities. This remote opportunity in India is ideal for a commercially minded leader who combines analytical rigor, sound judgment, and practical execution with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive accountability.

Accountabilities

  • Lead portfolio planning, product prioritization, governance, dependency management, and risk tracking, maintaining clear dashboards and prioritization frameworks for product leadership.
  • Coordinate Product Business Reviews and ensure product initiatives remain aligned with strategic objectives, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage executive-, senior leadership team (SLT)-, and board-level product reporting, translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Own the product analytics and adoption strategy using tools such as Pendo, including instrumentation governance, dashboard development, usage analysis, and adoption insights.
  • Manage product intake and prioritization processes, ensuring requests are assessed consistently, decisions are documented, and customers receive appropriate follow-up.
  • Develop and operate the Customer Advisory Board framework, including agenda planning, customer insight collection, action tracking, and follow-through.
  • Maintain accurate mappings across use cases, product capabilities, prioritization frameworks, product-market fit indicators, and packaging or stock-keeping unit (SKU) structures.
  • Partner with Finance and go-to-market teams to analyze pricing, packaging, monetization, and overall product performance, identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Enhance existing planning, KPI measurement, and reporting processes, improving their effectiveness without introducing unnecessary operational disruption.
  • Build and implement AI agents and automated workflows to generate reports, synthesize customer feedback, identify portfolio risks, and reduce repetitive Product Operations tasks.
  • Act as a trusted operating partner to product leadership by challenging weak assumptions or insufficient evidence, facilitating difficult decisions, and ensuring agreed actions are completed.
  • Establish reliable operating mechanisms that connect strategy, investment, execution, customer evidence, product adoption, and business performance.
  • Collaborate regularly with global teams and product leaders, maintaining effective communication and alignment across geographies and functions.
  • Significant experience in product strategy, Product Operations, or a closely related Product Management leadership role, with the judgment and expertise required to operate at director level.
  • Strong understanding of product portfolio management, strategic prioritization, governance, and cross-functional planning in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with SaaS business metrics, product performance indicators, adoption analytics, and executive reporting.
  • Familiarity with product analytics and instrumentation platforms such as Pendo, including the ability to translate usage data into actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of customer research, feedback management, product-market fit assessment, pricing strategy, packaging, and monetization analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with senior executives and leadership teams while personally developing analyses, dashboards, and operational processes.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to build agents or automate workflows, particularly for reporting, research synthesis, risk detection, or operational efficiency.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to evaluate business impact, challenge low-value initiatives, and focus resources on high-priority opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps in evidence, clarify trade-offs, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to present complex product and business information clearly to executive audiences.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Ability to collaborate synchronously with product leadership and work effectively with globally distributed teams.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English, as interviews and internal business communication are primarily conducted in English.
  • Location requirement: Candidates must be based in India and authorized to work there.
  • Remote-first work arrangement within India.
  • Full-time employment in a senior product strategy and operations leadership role.
  • Opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and contribute to strategic product and business decisions.
  • Exposure to SaaS portfolio management, product analytics, monetization strategy, and AI-powered operational automation.
  • Collaboration with global teams across product, finance, and go-to-market functions.
  • Opportunity to improve product operating practices and influence strategic planning, customer adoption, and business performance.
  • Salary, healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, paid leave, bonuses, and other specific perks were not disclosed in the provided job description.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
