Overview

Take the lead in coordinating large-scale retail installation and merchandising projects across multiple markets in a dynamic, fast-growing retail environment. As a District Field Install Manager, you will oversee field installation teams across a district, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, on budget, and on schedule. You will play a key role in expanding into new markets while maintaining operational excellence across existing stores. This position combines people leadership, project management, financial accountability, and process improvement to maximize productivity and cost savings. If you excel at managing complex projects, developing teams, and balancing competing priorities, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful operational impact.

Accountabilities

  • Field Team Leadership and Development
  • Oversee Field Install Teams across multiple markets, managing relationships with Project Managers, Field Install Managers, Supervisors, Specialists, store teams, regional leaders, and visual merchandising partners.
  • Conduct quarterly store performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to strengthen team capabilities and operational performance.
  • Establish clear expectations, foster collaboration, and ensure teams consistently meet quality, productivity, and safety standards.
  • Support additional operational initiatives, including store operations requests, consolidated resets, and other departmental priorities.
  • Project Planning and Execution
  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of new store visual merchandising projects, existing-store renovations, and other installation requests.
  • Develop monthly scopes of work and project schedules based on business needs, forecasted labor hours, market capacity, and established timelines.
  • Monitor project milestones, manage changes in field and support-center requirements, and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and operational partners to establish project standards, specifications, and execution guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate project labor coding and maintain detailed reporting, including daily field recaps and weekly district performance updates.
  • Lead regular team meetings and cross-functional reviews to communicate progress, address challenges, and maintain alignment across all markets.
  • Financial and Administrative Management
  • Manage district labor utilization, project spending, and cost-saving initiatives to support financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor project budgets, profit and loss information, and cost-to-completion estimates to maintain financial accountability.
  • Review, audit, and approve expense reports and company credit card statements submitted by direct reports.
  • Track project expenditures and timelines, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure administrative processes, reporting requirements, and financial controls are followed consistently across the district.
  • Education and Experience
  • A bachelor's degree is required; relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
  • Between 2 and 5 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the role's essential responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution.
  • Previous experience overseeing third-party labor teams, contractors, and vendors, with the ability to establish expectations and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Practical understanding of fast-paced retail operations, including existing-store renovations, merchandising installations, and new-store project execution.
  • Technical and Operational Skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to prepare accurate reports and analyze operational data.
  • Working knowledge of profit and loss statements, project budgets, labor costs, and cost-to-completion projections.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to identify risks, resolve operational challenges, and maintain project momentum.
  • Strong communication and team-building capabilities, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders across field operations, stores, regional leadership, and support functions.
  • A customer-focused mindset, adaptability, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a changing, deadline-driven environment.
  • Additional Requirements
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including a motor vehicle record review.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 30% of the time, by air and car.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include warehouses, moving vehicles, and moderate background noise.
  • Ability to perform predominantly sedentary work, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing approximately 10–40 pounds.
  • Performance-based rewards: Bonus opportunities and career advancement pathways at multiple organizational levels.
  • Retirement savings: Access to a 401(k) plan with a company match, subject to applicable plan terms.
  • Employee investment opportunities: Employee Stock Purchase Plan to participate in the company's growth.
  • Referral incentives: Employee referral bonus program.
  • Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and additional insurance options, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Paid time off: Paid vacation and sick time for eligible employees.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
