This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GRMW Strategy and Transformational Excellence Lead based in India.
This role supports the strategic evolution and operational excellence of a global regulatory medical writing function. You will partner closely with senior leadership to strengthen the strategic presence of medical writing across therapy areas and cross-functional teams. The position combines strategic planning, resource optimization, performance management, and transformation initiatives. You will help identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration across internal teams, contractors, and vendors. The role also contributes to long-range planning, annual operating activities, and initiatives designed to support future growth. Strong expertise in medical or regulatory writing, change management, and resource planning will be key to driving meaningful organizational impact.
Accountabilities:
- Support senior leadership in developing and implementing initiatives that strengthen the strategic role of medical writing across therapy area heads and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Contribute to departmental planning and resource allocation to promote cohesion, efficiency, and effective delivery across the medical writing organization.
- Identify opportunities for centralized resourcing and workload planning to optimize costs, improve effectiveness, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
- Develop and propose solutions for implementing metrics, performance tracking, and optimization mechanisms across internal full-time employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Partner with leadership to identify process gaps, simplification opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives designed to improve efficiency and support the department's transition toward a growth-oriented strategy.
- Support long-range planning and annual operating plan activities for the department.
- Contribute to additional strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives based on evolving business priorities.
- 10+ years of experience as a Medical Writer, Regulatory Writer, or in a closely related medical writing discipline.
- Strong expertise in management, resource planning, budgeting, and operational initiatives.
- Proven experience leading or supporting change management and project management initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives within complex organizational environments.
- Experience with resource management, performance metrics, and operational tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and translate them into practical improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leaders, therapy area stakeholders, internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple strategic and operational initiatives in a changing environment.
