The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Knowledge Management Expert based in Canada.

The Knowledge Management Expert will help improve the accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness of AI-powered enterprise search tools and workplace assistants. This role is designed for experienced HR professionals who can evaluate how AI systems respond to real-world human resources questions. You will assess the quality of answers, verify source citations, and ensure that responses respect user permissions and reflect up-to-date information. By identifying content gaps, conflicting knowledge, and reasoning errors, you will help strengthen AI performance in workplace environments. The position offers a flexible, fully remote working arrangement with projects focused on advancing AI capabilities through specialized human expertise. It is an opportunity to apply your HR knowledge to the development of more dependable and useful AI systems.

Accountabilities

  • Evaluate responses generated by enterprise search platforms and AI-powered workplace assistants when answering HR-related questions within your area of expertise.
  • Assess whether AI-generated answers are factually accurate, appropriately grounded in reliable sources, and supported by correct citations.
  • Review how AI tools handle access permissions and determine whether responses respect individual users' authorization levels.
  • Identify outdated, inconsistent, incomplete, or conflicting information across HR knowledge bases and other enterprise information sources.
  • Analyze AI response failures to distinguish between retrieval issues, missing information, and reasoning errors.
  • Provide structured evaluations and expert feedback to help improve the quality, reliability, and relevance of AI-powered workplace tools.
  • Apply practical HR experience to assess whether responses align with workplace policies, HR processes, and real-world operational expectations.
  • Contribute to projects focused on training and improving advanced AI systems while protecting confidential and proprietary information.
  • Complete assigned evaluation projects independently, adapting to project timelines, scope, and evolving requirements.
  • At least five years of active professional experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in a specific HR domain.
  • Current employment in an HR, People Operations, Payroll, or HR Systems role at a technology company, such as a software or SaaS business, internet company, hardware manufacturer, or semiconductor organization.
  • Regular, hands-on experience using at least one enterprise search platform or workplace AI assistant, such as Glean, Workday Assistant, Sana, Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint Search, Guru, Coveo, Moveworks, or ServiceNow AI Search.
  • Practical experience using Workday HCM as an end user; configuration-only training does not meet this requirement.
  • A strong understanding of HR information, workplace policies, knowledge retrieval, and the importance of accurate, source-backed answers.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content, identify information gaps, recognize conflicting sources, and distinguish retrieval problems from reasoning mistakes.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment when reviewing AI outputs.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate findings clearly, and consistently apply evaluation criteria.
  • Experience managing or curating HR knowledge content, including policy pages, HR help-center articles, or FAQ libraries in platforms such as Confluence, ServiceNow Knowledge Base, Workday Help, or similar systems, is preferred.
  • Current hands-on HR practice is preferred over a consultant-only background.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is an asset.
  • Relevant Workday Pro certifications are an advantage.
  • Candidates whose experience is limited to being a power user or administrator of only Sana or only Glean do not meet the stated platform-experience preference.
  • Applicants must be able to work as independent contractors. H-1B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported for this opportunity at this time.
  • Compensation: $70–$90 per hour, depending on the engagement and applicable terms.
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote, with the flexibility to complete work on your own schedule.
  • Payment frequency: Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise for services rendered.
  • Contract type: Independent contractor engagement.
  • Project flexibility: Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on business needs and performance.
  • Professional impact: Opportunity to contribute HR expertise to the training and improvement of advanced AI systems.
  • Learning and collaboration: Exposure to AI evaluation projects and work focused on improving enterprise search and workplace assistants.
  • Confidentiality safeguards: The work will not require access to confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, or institution.
  • Referral opportunity: Eligible referrals may earn up to $360 per successful referral, subject to applicable limits and referral policy terms.
  • Specific benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, retirement contributions, and equipment allowances are not stated. As an independent contractor, you should confirm any applicable arrangements before accepting an engagement.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
