The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Operations Manager (Data) based in United States.

This senior individual contributor role drives operational excellence for a data-focused product squad within a highly cross-functional product and engineering environment. You will lead critical initiatives around machine learning model launches, AI-powered product capabilities, experimentation, and operational scalability. The role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, data, finance, analytics, and go-to-market teams to turn strategy into effective execution. You will use data and operational insights to improve processes, monitor performance, identify friction, and enable better decision-making. The position offers meaningful ownership of workstreams while providing opportunities to improve systemic processes and product operations practices. You will also help establish reliable KPIs, dashboards, reporting practices, and data hygiene across the broader product organization. This is an opportunity to influence how complex data and AI initiatives are planned, launched, measured, and continuously improved.

Accountabilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and address friction points throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery and planning through launch and ongoing improvement.
  • Lead and support critical operational initiatives related to launching and updating machine learning models and enabling agentic, predictive, conversational, and assistive AI-powered features across multiple product squads.
  • Improve processes, workflows, and operational hygiene across cross-functional squads to promote consistent execution, delivery velocity, and team alignment.
  • Support the development and adoption of better tooling and practices for A/B experimentation across multiple functions.
  • Build effective working relationships across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Finance, Analytics, and other teams to coordinate execution and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ensure the appropriate contributors and stakeholders are engaged at the right stages of initiatives, with expectations, responsibilities, and timelines clearly aligned.
  • Monitor KPIs and OKRs and provide data-driven insights that help teams understand performance and make informed operational decisions.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to establish meaningful KPIs and ensure dashboards and reporting provide accurate, intuitive, and actionable performance visibility.
  • Help maintain clean data, reliable processes, and strong operational hygiene across product-related workflows.
  • Work closely with Finance and Data Analytics teams to maintain alignment around critical product and business metrics.
  • Translate performance trends and operational data into actionable recommendations for assigned teams.
  • Help manage and optimize product technology and collaboration tools, including roadmapping and team workflow platforms.
  • Contribute to quarterly planning and help connect individual squad priorities with broader organizational strategy.
  • Take ownership of defined workstreams, moving beyond task execution to identify systemic improvements and establish scalable operating practices.
  • 6–10 years of experience in product operations, business operations, program management, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success supporting large, complex, cross-functional organizations in Product Operations, Program Management, or similar roles.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and first-principles problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, develop practical solutions, and proactively resolve impediments.
  • Ability to independently navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing demands, and drive initiatives through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse cross-functional audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project-management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of business objectives and product strategies and translate them into operational priorities.
  • Familiarity with different project and delivery methodologies and the ability to apply appropriate approaches to complex initiatives.
  • Growing familiarity with financial principles relevant to product and project delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with teams to define KPIs aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Experience partnering with data analysts or analytics teams to develop dashboards that support performance transparency, monitoring, and action.
  • Strong data acumen, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality and process hygiene.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical functions and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-trust environment where challenging assumptions, asking difficult questions, and proposing improvements are encouraged.
  • Experience with machine learning, AI-powered products, experimentation, or data-driven product operations is highly relevant to the role.
  • New York City: $158,000–$209,000 base salary, plus equity and bonus opportunities.
  • Remote Premium: $143,000–$189,000 base salary, plus equity and bonus opportunities.
  • Remote Standard: $136,000–$179,000 base salary, plus equity and bonus opportunities.
  • Fully remote options within the United States, with a hybrid option associated with the New York City headquarters.
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Equity ownership opportunity.
  • Life and AD&D insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Employee Resource Groups.
  • Company outings, events, and opportunities for team connection.
  • High-trust working environment that encourages intellectual honesty, collaboration, and challenging conventional approaches.
  • Transparent career development and peer support.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of product operations, data, machine learning, experimentation, and AI-powered product development.
  • Significant ownership of strategic workstreams and opportunities to improve organization-wide processes and operating practices.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
