This is a remote-capable position supporting a federal mission and requires an active Secret security clearance, along with the ability to obtain DHS Suitability.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of radiological and nuclear detection programs and capabilities across federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies.
  • Provide information resources, processes, facilitation, and guidance for document development, strategic planning, and the creation of plans and procedures.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize Excel spreadsheets using advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, conditional logic, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Validate, clean, standardize, and analyze datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with federal reporting requirements.
  • Develop analytical products and reports that help government and contractor personnel make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and execute mission objectives.
  • Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to identify opportunities for improving systems, procedures, and operational performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows, streamline reporting processes, and improve data accessibility.
  • Maintain documentation of data processes, formulas, dashboards, and reporting standards to support continuity and compliance with federal guidelines.
  • Analyze complex data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct work simplification and measurement studies to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare operations and procedures manuals to help management standardize processes and optimize program performance.
  • Support program management activities and grant program execution.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to address analytical challenges, coordinate deliverables, and support ongoing operational requirements.
  • Travel as required by program needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to ten years of relevant professional experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Suitability.
  • Experience working as a government consultant.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, Power Query, conditional logic, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for collaboration and document management.
  • Ability to validate, clean, standardize, and interpret data while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analytical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements to workflows, reporting, and documentation.
  • Willingness to support additional program management and grant-related activities as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Salary range: $52,000–$88,000 per year, with final compensation based on experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and other relevant factors.
  • Remote-capable work arrangement, with positions listed as US remote and Washington, DC.
  • Opportunity to contribute to federal programs focused on radiological and nuclear detection and public-sector mission readiness.
  • Exposure to government consulting, data analytics, logistics, and program management initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
