The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Global Mobility & People Relations based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead global mobility, immigration oversight, and people relations initiatives within a collaborative, internationally connected environment. In this role, you will oversee relocation and immigration programs, manage external service providers, and help ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and HR partners, providing guidance on HR practices, employee concerns, and organizational policies. Combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution, you will lead cross-functional projects, strengthen processes, and support continuous improvement across the HR function. You will use data, clear communication, and sound judgment to manage sensitive matters and keep multiple priorities moving forward. This remote opportunity is ideal for a highly organized, people-focused leader who can build trusted relationships, navigate complexity, and deliver practical solutions that improve the employee experience.

Accountabilities

  • Oversee global mobility, expatriate, relocation, and immigration programs at the policy and governance level, ensuring consistent and compliant employee experiences.
  • Manage external relocation, immigration, and tax vendors, monitoring service levels, timelines, budgets, and quality of delivery.
  • Serve as the escalation point for mobility and immigration matters involving employees, managers, vendors, and HR stakeholders.
  • Track immigration cases, visa and filing deadlines, program costs, and compliance risks to ensure timely follow-up and effective oversight.
  • Maintain and update global mobility and relocation policies in response to evolving business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Legal and external providers to support compliance and provide regular reporting on program status, costs, and risks to HR leadership.
  • Advise employees and managers on HR policies, employee relations matters, and guidance provided by HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, subject matter experts, and HR Operations to maintain employee-facing policies and address employee questions and concerns.
  • Meet with employees regarding policy complaints and workplace concerns, exercising discretion and escalating sensitive matters when appropriate.
  • Contribute to HR initiatives such as year-end processes, talent reviews, and strategic organizational projects.
  • Help leaders interpret people data, understand compliance considerations, and make informed workforce decisions.
  • Plan and deliver projects from initial scoping through implementation and post-launch review, coordinating stakeholders and maintaining clear timelines.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and project trackers to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Lead change management for new processes, systems, and ways of working, supporting adoption across relevant teams.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience in an HR generalist role or Center of Excellence (COE), with strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and policies.
  • Experience working with global mobility, immigration, or relocation programs, or managing an external mobility or immigration service provider.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors against agreed service levels, timelines, budgets, and performance expectations.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices, with sound judgment when handling sensitive, confidential, or complex employee matters.
  • Proven ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders, coach and influence managers, and provide clear, practical HR guidance.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including scoping, planning, stakeholder coordination, execution, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives on time.
  • Experience improving, documenting, and standardizing HR processes, ideally involving systems implementation, workflow automation, or operational improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage change and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Comfort using HR information systems and project or collaboration tools, such as UKG.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Preferred: Exposure to tax, finance, compensation, or employee benefits programs.
  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CIPD, or PMP.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Employment visa sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Annual salary: $109,500–$150,525, with the range based on national market data and potentially varying by experience and location.
  • Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, along with telehealth services.
  • Health savings options: Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
  • Retirement savings: 401(k) and Roth 401(k) plans with a company match.
  • Paid time off: Paid vacation and sick time.
  • Paid holidays: 12 paid holidays annually.
  • Parental support: Parental leave totaling 20 weeks, including 14 weeks of paid leave, plus access to the Milk Stork program.
  • Life and disability coverage: Life insurance and disability benefits.
  • Well-being resources: Employee assistance programs and additional well-being support.
  • Remote flexibility: A remote working arrangement for eligible U.S.-based employees.
  • Professional impact: The opportunity to support a global workforce, improve employee experiences, and contribute to strategic HR initiatives in an education technology environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
