The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Operations Strategy & Insights based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

As Manager, Operations Strategy & Insights, you will drive strategic initiatives that improve business performance, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth across a large network of dental practices. You will transform complex data into actionable insights, helping senior leaders make informed decisions and implement high-impact business strategies. Working across Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and field teams, you will lead projects from initial analysis and problem definition through implementation and performance measurement. Your work will focus on optimizing revenue opportunities, improving workforce productivity, strengthening forecasting capabilities, and standardizing operational processes. This senior individual-contributor role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence business outcomes without direct people management responsibilities. You will join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where analytical excellence, strategic thinking, and practical problem-solving are essential to delivering measurable results.

Accountabilities:

  • Operational Strategy and Execution: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of cross-functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency, standardization, and business performance. Develop operational playbooks, manage pilot programs, and recommend whether initiatives should be scaled, adjusted, or discontinued based on measurable results.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Own complex projects from problem identification and data analysis through recommendations, implementation, and impact assessment. Partner with senior leaders to prioritize initiatives, align resources, and deliver outcomes that support broader business objectives.
  • Practice Growth and Revenue Optimization: Analyze operational data and develop advanced models to identify revenue growth opportunities, including provider scheduling, treatment room utilization, operating hours, and other practice-level performance drivers.
  • Operational Bottleneck Identification: Identify constraints affecting productivity, revenue generation, and service delivery. Develop practical strategies to address performance gaps, improve resource allocation, and support scalable growth across the practice network.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Build and refine forecasting models to project revenue, labor demand, and operational performance at practice, regional, and national levels. Incorporate operational variables such as practice closures, provider absences, and vacation schedules to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Financial and Operational Alignment: Collaborate with Finance and Operations to align forecasts with business plans, evaluate growth and cost scenarios, and communicate the potential impact of strategic decisions to leadership.
  • Performance Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and performance frameworks to monitor key indicators, including revenue, labor productivity, provider utilization, and scheduling compliance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate performance trends, identify underlying causes of operational challenges, and translate findings into clear recommendations that support continuous improvement and stronger business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with field teams to ensure successful implementation of optimization initiatives, incorporate frontline feedback, and adapt solutions to operational realities. Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and HR to coordinate priorities and drive consistent execution.
  • Stakeholder Influence and Accountability: Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, influence decisions across teams, and maintain accountability for project delivery without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve analytical methods, forecasting accuracy, reporting processes, and operational workflows while adapting to evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or an analytical role within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, from initial problem definition and analysis through implementation and measurement of results.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to connect operational insights with broader business objectives, identify high-value opportunities, and develop practical strategies that deliver measurable impact.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis capabilities, attention to detail, and experience identifying trends, evaluating performance, and translating complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Forecasting and Modeling: Ability to develop and interpret forecasting models, assess operational drivers, evaluate business scenarios, and support data-informed planning and decision-making.
  • Reporting and Data Visualization: Experience developing performance dashboards, reporting tools, and metrics frameworks that communicate business performance clearly. Familiarity with relevant analytics and visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Structured Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective, evidence-based solutions.
  • Data Storytelling: Strong ability to translate quantitative analysis into clear, compelling narratives that help stakeholders understand business challenges, evaluate options, and take action.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Stakeholder Management and Influence: Ability to build relationships across functions, influence outcomes without direct authority, encourage accountability, and navigate challenging conversations related to performance, priorities, and project delivery.
  • Ownership and Initiative: A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with the ability to take full responsibility for deliverables, anticipate challenges, and continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in changing environments, adjusting priorities quickly, and learning new business processes while maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership, finance teams, operational stakeholders, and field-based colleagues.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Work Arrangement: Ability to work on-site at the Toronto Support Centre from Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.
  • Competitive base salary: Annual compensation ranging from CAD $95,000 to $120,000, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity considerations.
  • Performance-based bonus: Eligibility for an annual bonus of up to 15%, in addition to base compensation.
  • Competitive total rewards package: Access to a comprehensive benefits and rewards package designed to support employee well-being and financial security.
  • Hybrid work arrangement: Work on-site in downtown Toronto from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays designated as work-from-home days.
  • Meaningful strategic impact: Lead high-visibility initiatives that influence operational performance, revenue growth, and business strategy across a large network of dental practices.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to strengthen strategic planning, advanced analytics, forecasting, and project leadership capabilities.
  • Cross-functional exposure: Collaborate with senior leaders and teams across Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and field operations.
  • Career growth opportunities: Develop your expertise and expand your responsibilities within a growing organization that values initiative, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.
  • Collaborative workplace culture: Join a team that encourages knowledge sharing, innovative thinking, accountability, and collective success.
  • Inclusive work environment: Be part of a workplace committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and creating an environment where individuals can contribute and succeed.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
