The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a .NET Developer based in France.

As a .NET Developer, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and support of reliable software applications in a dynamic, remote-first environment. You will use your expertise in C# and .NET technologies to build and enhance web applications, APIs, and backend services that support essential business operations. Beyond development, you will play an important role in maintaining application stability by diagnosing technical issues and resolving production incidents efficiently. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to streamline deployments and improve application performance. Your work will also contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices, helping ensure smooth releases and dependable software delivery. This contract opportunity is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys combining hands-on software engineering with practical troubleshooting and production support. Working remotely, you will have the opportunity to solve meaningful technical challenges while contributing to application reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications: Design, build, enhance, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Build APIs and backend services: Develop and support web APIs, backend components, and web applications that meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues: Investigate application errors, debug code, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes to maintain system reliability.
  • Provide production support: Monitor application health, respond to incidents, resolve technical issues within agreed timelines, and minimize service disruptions.
  • Optimize application performance: Analyze logs, diagnose performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot deployment failures, and implement improvements to application stability.
  • Support DevOps activities: Collaborate with DevOps teams on build processes, deployment workflows, release management, and CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
  • Manage source control and deployments: Use Git and Azure DevOps or equivalent platforms to manage code, coordinate development activities, and support software delivery.
  • Conduct root cause analysis: Participate in post-incident investigations, document findings, and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
  • Collaborate across technical teams: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Follow engineering best practices: Apply established standards for development, security, deployment, and production support.
  • Maintain technical documentation: Document code-related solutions, troubleshooting procedures, deployment activities, and support processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Professional experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • .NET expertise: Strong knowledge of .NET and .NET Core, including practical experience with ASP.NET Core.
  • API and backend development: Solid understanding of RESTful Web APIs, backend services, and web application architecture.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting: Excellent diagnostic skills, with the ability to investigate complex application issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Production application support: Experience supporting live applications, resolving technical incidents, monitoring system behavior, and maintaining service reliability.
  • DevOps knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, build automation, deployment workflows, and release management.
  • Development and deployment tools: Experience using Azure DevOps or a comparable DevOps platform, along with Git or other version control systems.
  • Application monitoring: Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot production and deployment issues, and support application performance improvements.
  • Analytical thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize issues based on urgency and business impact.
  • Communication and teamwork: Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams in a remote working environment.
  • Engineering discipline: Commitment to secure coding practices, maintainable software, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Remote work: Flexibility to work remotely while collaborating with distributed technical teams.
  • Contract opportunity: A contract-based engagement offering the opportunity to contribute to application development and production support.
  • Technical variety: Exposure to software development, backend engineering, production troubleshooting, and DevOps workflows.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to strengthen expertise in C#, .NET, application performance, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work alongside developers, QA professionals, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure specialists.
  • Problem-solving impact: Contribute directly to application reliability, incident resolution, and continuous technical improvement.
  • Compensation: Salary or contract rate details are not specified in the original job description and can be clarified during the recruitment process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
