The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) Developer & Administrator based in the United States.

We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) Developer and Administrator to support a six-month consulting engagement focused on migrating Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) to the cloud. In this role, you will lead technical migration activities, manage repository configurations, and ensure analytics content transitions smoothly into the target environment. You will leverage your expertise in semantic modeling, BAR-file migration, SQL optimization, and cloud administration to maintain data accuracy, performance, and reliability. Working independently, you will troubleshoot complex technical challenges, configure security settings, validate migrated content, and support testing activities. You will also document migration procedures, configurations, and resolutions to ensure a consistent and well-managed transition. This remote contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced analytics professional who enjoys solving technical problems and delivering reliable, scalable business intelligence solutions.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage OAS-to-OAC migrations: Execute the migration of analytics content, configurations, and related components from Oracle Analytics Server to Oracle Analytics Cloud, ensuring a smooth and reliable transition.
  • Handle repository migration: Export Repository Definition (RPD) repositories into BAR files and import them into Oracle Analytics Cloud, validating configurations and resolving migration-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain semantic models: Build, update, and troubleshoot semantic models and repository configurations to support accurate reporting and consistent analytics.
  • Administer the cloud environment: Configure and maintain OAC security settings, user access, permissions, and environment configurations in accordance with project and client requirements.
  • Develop and optimize SQL: Write, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries to support analytics workloads, improve query performance, and ensure reliable reporting.
  • Resolve technical issues: Investigate and troubleshoot connectivity problems, migration errors, performance bottlenecks, semantic model inconsistencies, and environment configuration issues.
  • Validate migrated analytics content: Conduct functional checks, data validation, and testing to confirm that migrated reports, models, and configurations operate as expected.
  • Support cloud and data integration activities: Apply relevant knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and ETL technologies to support migration dependencies and analytics integration requirements.
  • Document migration activities: Maintain clear technical documentation covering migration steps, environment configurations, issues encountered, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions.
  • Work independently and meet project milestones: Manage assigned technical tasks, identify risks proactively, and deliver high-quality migration outcomes within the six-month engagement.
  • Meet client security requirements: Complete all required security checks and approvals before accessing client systems, environments, or confidential information.
  • Relevant professional experience: Three to five years of experience in Oracle Analytics development, administration, migration, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • OAC and OAS expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Analytics Server, including direct involvement in OAS-to-OAC migration projects.
  • Repository migration skills: Practical experience exporting RPD repositories to BAR files and importing those files into Oracle Analytics Cloud, including troubleshooting migration issues.
  • Semantic modeling and administration: Strong knowledge of semantic model development, repository management, OAC administration, environment configuration, and analytics content migration.
  • SQL proficiency: Strong SQL development and troubleshooting skills, including query analysis, performance optimization, and resolving data-related issues.
  • Cloud and integration knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), analytics migration methodologies, testing and validation practices, and ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or ODI-C.
  • Problem-solving abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to independently investigate technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Testing and quality assurance: Experience validating migrated reports, semantic models, configurations, and data to ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance.
  • Documentation skills: Ability to maintain accurate technical records, document troubleshooting activities, and communicate configurations and solutions clearly.
  • Independent working style: Self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Contract engagement requirements: Willingness and ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor for the full six-month engagement.
  • Security and compliance: Ability to successfully complete all client-required security requirements before accessing systems or information.
  • Availability: Ability to align with project timelines and communicate availability for interviews and potential onboarding.
  • Competitive hourly compensation: $55–$70 per hour, depending on experience, education, and certifications.
  • Remote work: Fully remote engagement performed from within the United States.
  • Six-month consulting opportunity: A defined contract focused on a specialized Oracle Analytics Cloud migration project.
  • Technical ownership: The opportunity to apply hands-on expertise across cloud migration, semantic modeling, repository management, SQL optimization, and analytics administration.
  • Specialized project experience: Further develop your experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Analytics Server, and cloud-based business intelligence environments.
  • Independent working environment: Opportunity to take ownership of technical deliverables and contribute directly to migration quality and project outcomes.
  • Professional impact: Help ensure a successful transition to a cloud analytics environment through reliable migration execution, thorough validation, and effective troubleshooting.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
