The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Billing & Collections based in the United States.

As a Product Manager, Billing & Collections, you will lead the strategy and development of essential billing, subscription, payment, and collections solutions within a global fitness technology environment. You will transform complex financial workflows into seamless, reliable, and intelligent experiences that help businesses manage revenue and strengthen customer relationships. Working closely with engineering, design, data science, finance, legal, and customer-facing teams, you will shape product roadmaps that address customer needs and business priorities. You will leverage analytics, experimentation, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve payment success rates, reduce involuntary churn, and optimize revenue recovery. This role offers the opportunity to influence products operating at significant scale while delivering measurable business and customer impact. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced product leader who combines strategic thinking, technical understanding, and strong cross-functional leadership in a remote-first environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Product strategy and roadmap ownership: Define and execute the long-term product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for billing and collections, balancing customer value, revenue opportunities, financial risk, and engineering complexity.
  • Customer and market research: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, competitive offerings, and product performance to identify high-impact opportunities and prioritize solutions.
  • Billing and payment innovation: Drive improvements across subscription management, recurring payments, invoicing, payment recovery, dunning processes, customer notifications, and automated collections workflows.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, data science, finance, legal, compliance, customer success, and go-to-market teams to define requirements, coordinate delivery, and launch reliable product experiences.
  • Product analytics and experimentation: Establish meaningful product metrics and use analytics, controlled experiments, and customer feedback to evaluate performance and guide product decisions.
  • Revenue optimization and churn reduction: Identify and implement opportunities to increase payment success, improve collections and recovery rates, reduce involuntary churn, and strengthen customer retention.
  • Automation and AI adoption: Evaluate and introduce automation and AI-powered capabilities where they can improve payment outcomes, streamline operations, enhance risk management, or deliver better customer experiences.
  • Product execution and delivery: Translate complex business problems into clear product requirements, prioritize development initiatives, communicate trade-offs, and maintain momentum from discovery through launch.
  • Stakeholder alignment: Build consensus across technical and non-technical teams, communicate product priorities and decisions effectively, and ensure alignment between product investments and business objectives.
  • Performance evaluation and continuous improvement: Measure the impact of roadmap initiatives on revenue, adoption, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and risk reduction, using insights to inform future improvements.
  • Bring at least 10 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of managing complex products from strategy and discovery through development, launch, and optimization.
  • Have experience in payments, billing, financial technology, SaaS subscriptions, commerce, or a closely related domain.
  • Demonstrate strong customer empathy, commercial awareness, and analytical capabilities, with the ability to turn ambiguous challenges into clear product strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Possess experience developing product visions, managing multi-quarter roadmaps, prioritizing competing initiatives, and balancing customer needs, revenue potential, risk, and technical constraints.
  • Have a strong understanding of billing and payment workflows, subscription models, revenue operations, or related financial technology processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use product analytics, experimentation, and performance metrics to evaluate initiatives, validate assumptions, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Be an effective cross-functional leader who can align engineering, design, data science, finance, legal, compliance, and customer-facing teams around shared goals.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate product decisions, explain complex concepts, and influence executives, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment, structured problem-solving, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining execution momentum in a complex environment.
  • Hands-on experience with subscription billing, dunning, payment recovery, payment routing, fraud and risk management, or API-based platforms is particularly valuable.
  • Familiarity with data-driven product development, AI-powered product capabilities, and workflow automation is an advantage.
  • Be results-oriented, with the ability to connect product strategy to measurable improvements in payment performance, revenue recovery, customer retention, operational efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Be comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively with distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from $132,000 to $165,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
  • Additional compensation opportunities: Eligible employees may receive bonuses, equity, or other incentive-based compensation, where applicable.
  • Flexible paid time off: An open PTO policy provides flexibility in planning time away from work.
  • Quarterly company-wide days off: Dedicated Days of Disconnect allow employees to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Family-friendly leave: Parental leave and Pawternity Leave to support employees during important family milestones.
  • Comprehensive healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employee assistance program: Access to support and resources for personal and emotional well-being.
  • Mental wellness benefits: A premium Calm app subscription for employees and up to four eligible dependents aged 16 and older.
  • Fitness and wellness reimbursement: A quarterly reimbursement to support personal fitness and well-being goals.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to strengthen product leadership capabilities, expand technical expertise, and pursue continued learning.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely within the United States while collaborating with colleagues across distributed teams.
  • Inclusive work culture: Join a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, mutual respect, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Meaningful business impact: Lead product initiatives that improve payment reliability, reduce customer churn, strengthen revenue performance, and enhance the customer experience at scale.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
