The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Commerce Cloud Hybris Lead Developer based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Lead Developer to drive the design, development, and optimization of enterprise e-commerce solutions. In this hands-on technical role, you will lead key development activities, build custom extensions, and deliver scalable, high-performance commerce applications. You will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring, and SAP Commerce architecture to enhance functionality and support complex B2B commerce processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design to code reviews and troubleshooting. You will also mentor junior developers, promote engineering best practices, and help deliver reliable, user-friendly digital commerce experiences. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates currently residing in the United States who are authorized to work as U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead development activities for SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) implementations, independently managing technical development and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available, and user-friendly e-commerce components using SAP Commerce Cloud development tools and frameworks.
  • Build and customize SAP Commerce extensions, manage products and product variants, and implement language and currency management capabilities.
  • Analyze existing application functionality, identify areas for improvement, and propose technical solutions that enhance performance, usability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain commerce functionality across core modules, including cart, catalog, personalization, checkout, and order management.
  • Implement and consume OCC APIs to support integrations and commerce application functionality.
  • Contribute to headless commerce architectures using Spartacus and/or ReactJS.
  • Integrate SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and other third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with developers and cross-functional team members throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to development standards, and promote best practices in software quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior developers in Java, object-oriented programming, and effective software engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support continuous improvement of existing commerce applications.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, coordinating with the team to deliver reliable solutions in line with project requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of overall software development experience, including 5 or more years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development.
  • Strong expertise in SAP Commerce architecture, customization, implementation, and development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Java/J2EE and the Spring Framework, including Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Integration.
  • Solid understanding of B2B commerce processes, business requirements, and sales models.
  • Practical experience developing and consuming OCC APIs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Commerce e-commerce modules, including cart, personalization, catalog, checkout, and order management.
  • Experience with headless commerce architectures using Spartacus and/or ReactJS.
  • Experience integrating SAP Commerce with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and external systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively within a development team.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud CCv2 migrations.
  • Preferred: Full-stack development experience using ReactJS.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting large-scale B2B SAP Commerce implementations.
  • Work authorization: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Location requirement: Candidates must currently reside within the United States. Applications from individuals residing outside the country will not be considered.
  • Competitive compensation based on qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Healthcare insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable state law.
  • Major holidays.
  • A remote work arrangement for eligible candidates located within the United States.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
