This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an SAP SD Consultant based in India.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant to support and optimize sales and order-to-cash processes in a remote, part-time contract role. You will work across the full sales lifecycle, including quotations, sales orders, pricing, billing, returns, and intercompany transactions. The role also involves supporting sales order automation using AI and streamlining invoicing and order closure through third-party logistics integrations. You will contribute to integrations with online ordering platforms, EDI solutions, and Salesforce to improve operational efficiency and data flow. This opportunity is ideal for an SAP SD professional who can deliver practical solutions, manage complex sales scenarios, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Accountabilities

  • Sales order and contract management: Configure, support, and optimize sales order and contract processes, including quotations, scheduling agreements, and sell-from-stock transactions.
  • Pricing and billing: Manage pricing procedures, including per-case fee conditions, and support billing processes, credit memos, and debit memos to ensure accurate and efficient sales transactions.
  • Returns and intercompany sales: Support customer returns, including intercompany and lean return processes, as well as domestic and international intercompany sales scenarios.
  • Sales process optimization: Handle both non-stock and service sales processes, ensuring that SAP SD functionality supports the organization's operational requirements and business workflows.
  • Sales order automation: Support the automation of sales order processing using AI to extract and interpret information from unstructured data, helping reduce manual effort and improve order accuracy.
  • Third-party logistics integration: Support 3PL-driven automation for sales order closure and invoicing, ensuring reliable coordination between logistics operations and SAP sales processes.
  • System integrations: Contribute to integrations between SAP SD and online ordering platforms, SPS Commerce for electronic data interchange (EDI), and Salesforce, helping maintain consistent information flow across connected systems.
  • SAP SD expertise: Demonstrated experience with SAP Sales and Distribution processes, including sales orders, contracts, quotations, scheduling agreements, pricing, billing, and credit/debit memos.
  • Order-to-cash knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end sales processes, including sell-from-stock, non-stock and service sales, customer returns, and domestic and international intercompany transactions.
  • Pricing and billing experience: Ability to support complex pricing configurations, including per-case fee conditions, and troubleshoot billing and invoicing scenarios.
  • Automation and integration skills: Experience or familiarity with sales order automation, AI-driven processing of unstructured data, and automated order closure and invoicing through third-party logistics providers.
  • Integration knowledge: Understanding of integrations between SAP SD and online ordering platforms, EDI solutions such as SPS Commerce, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess business requirements and translate them into effective SAP SD solutions.
  • Communication and collaboration: Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to support process improvements and system integrations.
  • Fully remote work: Work from anywhere in India.
  • Part-time contract: Approximately 20 hours per week, with a schedule of four hours per day.
  • Contract duration: Initial commitment of six months or longer.
  • Flexible working window: Work hours scheduled between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
  • Focused project engagement: Opportunity to contribute to SAP SD process optimization, AI-enabled order automation, and integrations across sales, CRM, EDI, and logistics systems.
