We are looking for an experienced Senior Back End Developer to build, maintain, and enhance robust software solutions using Java technologies. In this role, you will contribute to the development of scalable applications and reliable system integrations within a collaborative, international technology environment. You will work with cross-functional teams across different countries, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. Your responsibilities will span backend development, API integration, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation. You will also help establish sound engineering practices and ensure the quality, maintainability, and long-term evolution of applications. Accountabilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java, Java EE, and Spring Boot.
  • Analyze technical and business requirements to design, implement, and test reliable software solutions.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain APIs that enable effective communication between systems and services.
  • Contribute to technical and functional decisions, ensuring that proposed solutions align with business needs and project objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promoting code quality, maintainability, consistency, and adherence to development standards.
  • Produce clear technical documentation covering implementation details, development processes, and application functionality.
  • Monitor development progress, identify potential risks or blockers, and prepare status updates for project managers.
  • Participate in technical meetings, project ceremonies, and collaborative planning sessions with distributed teams.
  • Apply appropriate software design patterns, architectural principles, and development methodologies to support scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues, share technical knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement across development projects.
  • Professional experience developing applications with Java and the Java Development Kit (JDK).
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices.
  • Knowledge of software architecture concepts, design patterns, and maintainable application design.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Familiarity with open-source frameworks and libraries, including Hibernate, Velocity, or comparable technologies.
  • Understanding of web applications and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
  • Experience using at least one integrated development environment (IDE), such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Familiarity with build automation tools such as Gradle, Maven, or Ant, as well as continuous integration practices.
  • Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM) concepts and experience implementing ORM solutions using Hibernate, JPA, or equivalent technologies.
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with international teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality software.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and share technical knowledge.
