  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with functional leaders, medical directors, and clinical leads to identify upcoming activities, deliverables, and events that may affect financial forecasts and operational plans.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and present monthly key performance indicator reports covering operating expenses, capital expenditures, and headcount to department heads and senior leadership.
  • Project Monitoring: Lead monthly project status meetings to track progress, financial performance, and ongoing commitments, ensuring timely visibility into potential risks and deviations.
  • Contract and Vendor Management: Review significant research and development contracts, validate project timelines and costs, monitor contract schedules, and assess contract research organization (CRO) vendor performance to maintain accurate forecasts.
  • Program Spend Analysis: Compile and maintain forecasts for major research and development programs, comparing product plans across quarters and years to identify trends, changes, and financial implications.
  • Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Lead the preparation of strategic plans and annual budgets in collaboration with research and development leadership. Consolidate financial data, prepare departmental summaries, and communicate budget assumptions and performance narratives to senior stakeholders.
  • Financial Analysis and Business Support: Support the evaluation of future projects, research programs, and broader business plans by providing financial models, analytical insights, and recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a specialization in finance or accounting. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
  • Professional Experience: At least four years of experience in operations finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a comparable financial role.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, variance analysis, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and headcount planning.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial information, identify trends, evaluate project costs, and translate data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to support annual budgeting, long-term financial planning, and the evaluation of business initiatives and major projects.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple reporting cycles, projects, and deadlines in a complex, international environment.
  • Adaptability: A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the flexibility to respond to evolving business priorities and financial requirements.
  • Competitive annual salary: $55,000–$105,000, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
  • Remote work: Opportunity to work remotely from the United States.
  • Competitive benefits package: Access to employee benefits designed to support health, financial security, and overall well-being.
  • Inclusive workplace: A collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, professional experience, and individual contributions.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
