The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Sourcing & Procurement based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement leader to shape and optimize company-wide sourcing strategies within a fast-growing financial technology environment. You will lead end-to-end procurement operations, from supplier selection and contract negotiations to vendor lifecycle management and risk assessment. Working closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Information Security, and business leaders, you will drive cost efficiency and strengthen supplier relationships. You will develop strategic category plans, optimize purchasing workflows, and implement data-driven processes that improve operational performance. The role offers significant influence over commercial decisions, third-party risk management, and long-term procurement strategy. You will also mentor a team member while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. This remote-first position is ideal for a strategic, commercially minded leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a measurable business impact.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the end-to-end third-party management program, including procurement planning, intake, supplier evaluation, contracting, renewals, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and execute category strategies across technology, marketing, product, operations, data, identity verification, customer support, professional services, and corporate functions.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, structure contracts, and manage renewals to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and appropriate service-level agreements.
  • Own company-wide procurement intake workflows and supporting automation, ensuring that IT, Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Finance stakeholders are involved early in the purchasing process.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including spend segmentation, requests for proposals (RFPs), market analysis, vendor consolidation, benchmarking, and multiyear category planning.
  • Strengthen third-party risk management frameworks by assessing suppliers against commercial, operational, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements, supporting expectations associated with SEC, FINRA, and banking partners.
  • Develop spend analytics, cost models, executive reports, and procurement forecasts to identify savings opportunities, reduce total cost of ownership, and improve financial planning.
  • Establish clear procurement policies, procedures, responsibilities, and performance indicators to enhance accountability, operational reliability, and compliance.
  • Partner with technical teams to translate requirements related to architecture, integrations, security, uptime, incident response, and service levels into effective commercial agreements.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team member through regular feedback, performance management, and professional development, aligning team execution with broader organizational objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, enterprise procurement, or vendor management, preferably within high-growth technology or financial services organizations.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex, multiyear enterprise SaaS agreements, marketing and agency contracts, professional services engagements, and strategic third-party partnerships.
  • Strong expertise in category management, structured RFP processes, supplier consolidation, spend planning, market benchmarking, and procurement strategy development.
  • Hands-on experience with spend management and procurement intake platforms, including Zip and Brex.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or executing third-party risk management (TPRM) frameworks across multiple business functions.
  • Strong financial acumen, with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings, reducing total cost of ownership, and mitigating supplier-related risks.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of enterprise architecture, integrations, cybersecurity, service-level agreements, system availability, and incident response to collaborate effectively with Engineering and IT teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build productive cross-functional relationships.
  • At least two years of people management experience, including coaching, motivating, and developing team members, setting expectations, and addressing performance concerns.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to following established policies and procedures.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the motivation to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from $160,700 to $189,000, depending on location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • Equity and incentives: Stock options or equity grants, with potential discretionary cash bonuses.
  • Health and wellness: Comprehensive benefits for employees and their families, including medical and other financial and wellness resources.
  • Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Flexible working arrangements: Remote-first work environment, flexible hours, and paid time off.
  • Family-focused benefits: Monthly contributions to a personal financial wellness account and access to a family-oriented financial account for children.
  • Mental and financial wellness: Access to mindfulness resources, Headspace, and financial wellness support through Addition Wealth.
  • Career development: Ongoing training, personalized development plans, regular development check-ins, and access to an online learning platform.
  • Leadership development: Opportunities to participate in dedicated leadership programs for emerging leaders.
  • Team engagement: Community weeks, onsite gatherings, virtual events, and opportunities to collaborate with talented, mission-driven colleagues.
  • Meaningful impact: The opportunity to shape procurement strategy, influence business growth, and support products designed to improve financial wellness.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
