The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Compute Platform Services Team) based in India.

Join a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering team focused on building, scaling, and maintaining the infrastructure behind globally distributed compute services. In this senior-level role, you will help strengthen the reliability, performance, and efficiency of large-scale systems that support critical digital experiences. You will drive automation initiatives, optimize Linux-based infrastructure, and develop scalable solutions that streamline operations. Working closely with support, operations, and engineering teams, you will tackle complex technical challenges and improve service resilience. Your expertise in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, and observability will help accelerate incident detection and resolution. This is an opportunity to influence platform engineering practices while contributing to reliable, high-performance cloud and edge infrastructure in a remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure and system issues.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and strengthen system reliability.
  • Develop processes, deployment plans, and infrastructure capabilities to roll out new software components and updates safely and efficiently at scale.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead or support the restoration and repair of services affected by incidents.
  • Enhance monitoring, observability, and system analysis platforms to accelerate error detection, troubleshooting, and remediation.
  • Optimize Linux systems, infrastructure configurations, and system performance across large-scale distributed environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational excellence, deployment practices, infrastructure management, and service reliability.
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or software engineering, with hands-on responsibility for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Advanced Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose complex, system-wide issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement large-scale automation solutions that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go (Golang) for scripting, tooling, and automation development.
  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms, including tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog, and Splunk.
  • Experience working with at least one cloud platform, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or an equivalent alternative.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and contribute to incident response.
  • Remote-first flexibility: Work from home, from an office, or through a combination of both, depending on role requirements and individual working preferences.
  • Health and well-being support: Access to benefits designed to support physical health, personal well-being, and life beyond work.
  • Financial support: Employee benefits intended to support financial well-being.
  • Flexible workplace experience: A work model that emphasizes trust, autonomy, and the flexibility to work in ways that support productivity.
  • Career growth: Opportunities to work with distributed compute infrastructure, modern automation technologies, and large-scale reliability engineering challenges.
  • Meaningful technical impact: Contribute to the reliability and performance of infrastructure supporting digital services used around the world.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
