This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer (Golang/Terraform) based in United States.

This senior engineering role focuses on building scalable backend services and reliable cloud infrastructure using Golang and Terraform. You will design APIs, microservices, automation tools, integrations, and reusable infrastructure-as-code solutions that solve complex business and technical challenges. The role combines hands-on software development with cloud automation, infrastructure reliability, security, and continuous optimization. You will collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, security specialists, and fellow developers throughout the full software development lifecycle. AI-assisted engineering is strongly encouraged, with opportunities to experiment with emerging tools and integrate AI into everyday development workflows. Beyond technical delivery, you will contribute through code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and clear communication with clients and project stakeholders. Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and software solutions using Golang, with a strong focus on clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Build reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules that enable consistent, secure, and reliable cloud environments.
  • Develop APIs, microservices, automation tools, and integrations that address business requirements and technical objectives.
  • Translate solution designs and project requirements into secure, maintainable implementations that can operate reliably in production environments.
  • Automate the provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing management of cloud infrastructure and application resources.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, security teams, and other developers to deliver complete and integrated technical solutions.
  • Participate across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture and design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Conduct code and Terraform configuration reviews to promote engineering quality, consistency, security, and established development standards.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools, including Claude, to improve productivity, solution quality, and engineering workflows while sharing effective practices with teammates.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, deployment, and infrastructure issues across development and production environments.
  • Improve application performance, cloud reliability, deployment efficiency, and operational processes through automation and continuous optimization.
  • Take ownership of assigned deliverables while proactively communicating progress, technical risks, dependencies, and potential solutions.
  • Contribute to project execution and oversight while maintaining a strong focus on client expectations and long-term business outcomes.
  • Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, presentations, coaching, and technical leadership within project teams.
  • Strong hands-on software development experience with Golang, including backend services and scalable application development.
  • Practical experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, integrations, automation, cloud infrastructure, deployment practices, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable, and scalable engineering solutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with architects, DevOps, security, and software engineering teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities across application, infrastructure, and production environments.
  • A consultative mindset with the ability to connect technical solutions to clients’ long-term business goals and expectations.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance software development workflows, or a strong willingness to experiment with, learn, and champion AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Claude Certified Developer or Architect certification is highly preferred, with the potential to obtain certification through the role.
  • Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle and experience overseeing the execution of technical deliverables.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and positively influence colleagues through technical guidance, presentations, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and emerging technologies.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a high-growth, evolving environment with changing project and client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
