This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SME Information Technology Project Manager based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technical planning, implementation, and sustainment initiatives for facility-related control systems and critical network infrastructure. This fully remote opportunity is designed for a seasoned professional with expertise in facility control systems, network deployment, cybersecurity, and technology modernization. The role involves overseeing technology refresh initiatives across wastewater treatment, water production, energy, Wi-Fi, training, and advanced metering infrastructure networks. You will help ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and compliant while coordinating technical teams, maintaining documentation, and supporting system upgrades. You will also contribute to information security efforts, engineering documentation, and the preparation of materials required for Authority to Operate (ATO) approval. Candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone and be available for occasional travel to the worksite in Petaluma, California.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and support the technical planning, deployment, implementation, and sustainment of facility control systems, including upgrades, patches, and equipment or component replacements.
  • Oversee technology refresh initiatives for wastewater treatment, water production, energy, Wi-Fi, training, and advanced metering infrastructure networks.
  • Coordinate technical planning, development, documentation, installation, and ongoing support for modernized systems.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation required to obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) approval for technology refresh systems.
  • Provide information security support to help maintain system integrity and compliance with applicable security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inventories, system status records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance with the development and modification of engineering drawings.
  • Support and administer facility management software systems, ensuring effective operation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Lead project activities within established technical, operational, and resource constraints, fostering collaboration and effective problem-solving across teams.
  • Document meeting discussions, decisions, and outcomes to support issue resolution and project progress.
  • Break down complex work into manageable tasks for evaluation, coordination, and delivery.
  • Prepare and submit monthly project status reports covering progress, activities, and relevant updates.
  • At least 10 years of related professional experience.
  • Extensive expertise in IT project management, including team leadership, collaboration, systems maintenance, and application development within defined constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience with facility control systems and network deployment.
  • Strong technical planning, implementation, and systems support capabilities.
  • Proven ability to document meetings, capture decisions and outcomes, and drive issues toward resolution.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to break down complex technical work into clear, manageable tasks.
  • Ability to support technical documentation, engineering drawings, information security activities, and system authorization processes.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred: An active SECRET security clearance.
  • Location requirement: Must reside within the Pacific Time Zone and be available for occasional travel to Petaluma, California.
  • Ability to work remotely while coordinating effectively with technical teams and project stakeholders.
  • Annual salary: $170,000–$190,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
