This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Account Manager II based in the United States.
This senior commercial role leads relationships with high-value national and multinational accounts across the Western U.S. territory. You will shape long-term account strategies designed to drive sustained revenue growth and customer value. The role combines executive relationship management, strategic selling, complex negotiations, and business planning. You will collaborate closely with R&D, procurement, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer initiatives successfully. The position offers significant influence over major business opportunities, pricing strategies, and multi-year commercial agreements. You will also provide strategic insights, forecasting, and risk analysis while representing the organization at important industry events. As a senior member of the commercial team, you will mentor colleagues and help strengthen strategic account management capabilities.
Accountabilities
- Own and expand a portfolio of high-value national and multinational strategic accounts, developing relationships that support sustainable, long-term growth.
- Build comprehensive customer strategies, account roadmaps, and multi-year business plans aligned with customer needs and commercial objectives.
- Lead complex negotiations involving multi-year contracts, pricing strategies, and strategic commercial agreements.
- Develop trusted executive-level relationships across customer R&D, procurement, marketing, and leadership functions.
- Identify and champion major new business opportunities with meaningful revenue potential.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to maintain alignment and ensure high-quality execution of customer projects and initiatives.
- Provide commercial leadership with strategic market and customer insights, financial forecasts, and risk assessments.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, customer summits, strategic meetings, and other high-value commercial engagements.
- Mentor and support Account Managers and ADS team members, sharing expertise in strategic selling, customer management, and commercial planning.
- 7+ years of experience in flavor, ingredient, complex B2B, or CPG sales, with a demonstrated track record of progressively responsible commercial leadership.
- Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar customer portfolios and delivering sustained revenue growth.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility and influence with senior customer stakeholders.
- Advanced expertise in strategic selling, negotiation, account planning, and long-term commercial development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders, including global teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, financial understanding, and ability to assess commercial opportunities and risks.
- Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across functions and geographies.
- Willingness and ability to represent the organization at customer meetings, conferences, and strategic industry events.
- Salary range of $153,000–$207,000, with actual compensation determined by factors such as geography, skills, education, experience, and other relevant considerations.
- Fully remote position supporting the Western Territory, including California, Utah, Arizona, North Dakota, Oregon, and Washington.
