This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Marketing Automation Specialist based in the United States.
This role is an opportunity to help scale the marketing systems and programs that support a global organization. You’ll serve as a hands-on marketing operations expert, owning campaign execution and automation within Marketo. You’ll partner closely with marketing, Salesforce, and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into scalable solutions. The role combines technical execution, process optimization, data quality, and campaign performance. You’ll improve lead management, scoring, nurturing, attribution, and the overall marketing technology ecosystem. You’ll also explore AI and emerging technologies to make marketing workflows faster, smarter, and more efficient. Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end execution of marketing automation programs in Marketo, including audience segmentation, email and landing page creation, workflows, A/B testing, quality assurance, tracking, and reporting.
- Partner with marketing teams to translate campaign requirements and business objectives into reliable, scalable, and high-quality automation solutions.
- Support and optimize the lead lifecycle, including lead routing, enrichment, scoring, nurturing, and campaign attribution.
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce administrators to ensure effective integration between marketing automation and CRM processes.
- Help manage and continuously improve the marketing technology stack, identifying opportunities to strengthen automation, data quality, operational efficiency, and campaign performance.
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues, investigate data or workflow problems, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to automate repetitive activities, streamline marketing operations, and improve the speed and effectiveness of marketing programs.
- Support marketing programs such as email campaigns, nurture journeys, webinars, events, and other digital initiatives from setup through execution, QA, and performance reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations or marketing automation, with hands-on experience building and executing programs in Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform.
- Practical Salesforce experience, including working with leads, contacts, campaigns, and reporting, along with a strong understanding of how CRM and marketing automation systems interact.
- Experience managing end-to-end marketing programs, including campaign setup, execution, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an understanding of marketing data, attribution, funnel management, and campaign performance.
- Basic HTML/CSS skills and a high level of attention to detail, particularly when creating and quality-checking customer-facing marketing experiences.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and execute projects with minimal oversight.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to investigate data, workflows, and system behavior to identify root causes and better solutions.
- Curiosity about AI, automation, and emerging technologies, with an interest in applying them to improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Collaborative, adaptable communication style and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams in a fast-moving environment.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience is advantageous.
- Competitive base salary of $121,000–$181,000 for roles based in New York or San Francisco.
- Competitive base salary of $107,000–$161,000 for roles elsewhere in the United States.
