This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems/Technology Aanlyst – FM System Consolidation Analysis and Roadmap based in the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems and technology professional to support a federal financial management modernization initiative. The role focuses on analyzing complex enterprise systems, identifying consolidation opportunities, and developing strategic roadmaps for a more integrated and efficient technology environment. You will bridge business requirements and technical solutions, helping shape future-state architectures and guide implementation planning. Your work will contribute to application modernization, data integration, cloud adoption, and improved financial management processes. The position combines enterprise architecture, systems analysis, and federal financial management expertise within a consulting environment. This is a remote, full-time opportunity, with occasional travel to federal locations in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland potentially required.

Accountabilities:

  • Assess existing financial management systems, application portfolios, interfaces, APIs, databases, and technical architectures to identify redundancies, integration challenges, and opportunities for consolidation and modernization.
  • Gather, evaluate, and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, solution architectures, data models, integration strategies, and actionable system recommendations.
  • Analyze current-state technology environments and develop future-state architectures and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, technical capabilities, and implementation priorities.
  • Support enterprise initiatives involving system consolidation, application modernization, cloud adoption, and technology transformation.
  • Translate strategic roadmap recommendations into practical implementation guidance, including data migration plans, system transition strategies, and system decommissioning checklists.
  • Incorporate federal financial management requirements into technical assessments, considering accounting practices, financial operations, audit requirements, internal controls, and applicable compliance frameworks.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making, improve system efficiency, and guide long-term technology planning.
  • Contribute to modernization planning within federal agencies, with a particular focus on the requirements and complexities of financial management systems.
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience in systems analysis, technology consulting, enterprise architecture, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating enterprise financial management systems, including applications, interfaces, APIs, databases, and technical architectures.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, solution architectures, data models, and integration approaches.
  • Experience supporting system consolidation, technology modernization, application rationalization, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to develop technology roadmaps and translate strategic recommendations into practical implementation plans and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of federal financial operations, accounting principles, audit requirements, internal controls, and relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to connect business objectives to technical solutions and present actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies, particularly in federal financial management, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment and travel to federal locations when required.
  • Competitive estimated annual salary: Approximately $130,000 for the MC-III labor category and $180,000 for the MC-IV labor category.
  • Full-time employment: An opportunity to contribute to a significant federal financial management systems modernization initiative.
  • Remote work: Work remotely within the United States, with potential travel to federal facilities in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland.
  • Professional impact: Help shape enterprise technology strategies, system consolidation plans, and modernization roadmaps for federal financial management.
  • Career development: Gain exposure to complex enterprise architecture challenges, federal financial operations, and large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborative consulting environment: Work on strategic technology planning that connects business requirements, technical architecture, and implementation priorities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
