The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager based in India.

The Technical Delivery Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects and programs in a fully remote environment. This role combines strong technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on delivery leadership to turn business objectives into successful technology outcomes. You will collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, DevOps, security, infrastructure, and quality assurance teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. You will oversee delivery governance, manage risks and dependencies, and facilitate technical decision-making across multiple workstreams. By combining Agile practices with a deep understanding of application architecture, you will help teams navigate technical complexity and maintain alignment with business priorities. This is an opportunity to drive continuous improvement, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and deliver reliable, scalable technology solutions.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the complete delivery lifecycle of technology projects and programs, from discovery and initiation through implementation, release, stabilization, and closure.
  • Translate business objectives and technical requirements into actionable delivery plans, milestones, roadmaps, resource forecasts, and measurable success criteria.
  • Coordinate multiple technical and business workstreams, including engineering, product, architecture, DevOps, infrastructure, data, security, quality assurance, operations, and third-party partners.
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture leaders to assess technical complexity, validate estimates, facilitate solution decisions, and maintain alignment with approved architecture and technical standards.
  • Establish and maintain delivery governance, integrated schedules, project documentation, decision logs, status reports, and executive-level communications.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, actions, dependencies, technical debt, and resource constraints, developing mitigation and recovery plans where necessary.
  • Apply Scrum Master practices by facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies as required.
  • Partner with Product Owners to translate business priorities and architectural direction into epics, features, user stories, technical enablers, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor delivery performance, team capacity, sprint velocity, milestones, and quality metrics to improve predictability and address schedule slippage.
  • Lead release planning and readiness activities, including testing, defect management, deployment coordination, rollback planning, security and operational approvals, go-live execution, hypercare, and production stabilization.
  • Ensure quality and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, availability, resilience, security, observability, and compliance, are integrated throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement by establishing delivery standards, refining processes, promoting accountability, and incorporating lessons learned into future initiatives.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in technical delivery management, program management, or project leadership within technology consulting, professional services, or complex enterprise environments.
  • Technical expertise: Strong understanding of application architecture, enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data flows, security, development environments, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and production operations.
  • End-to-end delivery: Proven experience managing complex technology initiatives throughout the entire delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical architecture, delivery plans, and expected outcomes.
  • Architecture and engineering collaboration: Ability to guide engineering teams, facilitate technical decisions, challenge estimates and assumptions, assess technical trade-offs, and maintain alignment with architectural standards.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders across engineering, product, architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, security, data, QA, operations, and external vendors.
  • Agile and Scrum: Hands-on experience with backlog management, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Risk and governance management: Strong capabilities in risk mitigation, issue resolution, dependency management, resource planning, escalation, delivery reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Release and service management: Experience with release readiness, deployment planning, rollback strategies, go-live coordination, hypercare, production stabilization, and software development and application lifecycle management.
  • IT service management: Familiarity with incident, problem, change, and production support processes, as well as quality assurance and operational readiness practices.
  • Tools: Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent delivery and service-management platforms.
  • Communication and leadership: Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred qualifications: PMP, PRINCE2, PSM, CSM, or equivalent project management or Agile certifications; experience with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe; familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform; knowledge of microservices, API-led integration, event-driven and cloud-native architectures; exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, Site Reliability Engineering, and ITIL practices.
  • Work arrangement: Fully remote position within India.
  • Contract type: Long-term contract opportunity.
  • Working hours: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM India Standard Time (IST).
  • Professional development: Opportunity to lead complex technology initiatives and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and architecture teams.
  • Technical exposure: Work across enterprise applications, cloud technologies, modern architecture patterns, Agile delivery, and production operations.
  • Impact and ownership: Take responsibility for end-to-end delivery, influence technical decisions, and drive continuous improvement across technology programs.
  • Compensation and additional benefits: Salary, healthcare coverage, paid leave, equipment provisions, and other benefits have not been specified in the provided job description.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
