The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Trust & Safety Product Manager based in Canada.

We are seeking an experienced Trust & Safety Product Manager to lead the development of safety and compliance features for a large-scale AI-powered consumer platform. This high-impact product role offers the opportunity to shape how users interact with AI characters and generative content while ensuring a safer, more compliant user experience. You will own the product roadmap for AI moderation, age verification, and red-teaming capabilities, working closely with engineering and senior leadership. The role requires strong product judgment, technical understanding, and the ability to balance user protection, regulatory obligations, and business objectives. You will make critical decisions that directly influence platform safety, content moderation effectiveness, and user trust. This is a fully remote opportunity under a B2B contract, ideal for a product leader comfortable navigating complex safety challenges in a fast-growing AI environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the strategy, development, and delivery of trust, safety, and compliance features across a large-scale AI consumer product.
  • Define and drive the product roadmap for AI-powered content moderation, age verification, and red-teaming systems.
  • Work directly with engineering teams to translate safety requirements into practical product features, technical solutions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Make informed product and regulatory trade-offs, balancing user safety, compliance obligations, platform integrity, and overall product performance.
  • Establish and refine moderation thresholds, optimize detection accuracy, manage false positives and false negatives, and improve the effectiveness of human review processes.
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including the CTO, Legal & Safety Lead, and Product Lead, to align priorities and deliver effective safety solutions.
  • Assess emerging risks associated with AI-generated content and continuously improve safeguards in response to new threats, regulatory developments, and product needs.
  • Review reports and cases that may involve disturbing, explicit, or potentially illegal content to inform product decisions and strengthen safety mechanisms.
  • At least five years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning product decisions, leading delivery, and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong product ownership skills, including the ability to define roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, collaborate with technical teams, and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Excellent judgment in trust, safety, and regulatory matters, supported by concrete examples of complex trade-offs and their impact.
  • Solid technical understanding of safety systems, including automated moderation, detection thresholds, false-positive management, age verification, and human review workflows.
  • Ability to balance user experience, regulatory compliance, platform safety, and business priorities in a rapidly evolving product environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to make decisions in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and senior leadership to deliver technically complex product initiatives.
  • Current residence in Brazil is expected for this listing, with the original vacancy specifying Europe as the eligible location; applicants should confirm geographic eligibility with the hiring team before proceeding.
  • Full comfort working with explicit adult content and willingness to review reports that may contain disturbing or illegal material.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and operate effectively under a B2B contractual arrangement.
  • Fully remote work: Work remotely, subject to confirmation of eligible working locations.
  • Competitive remuneration: Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • B2B contract: A business-to-business contractual arrangement is preferred, with a full-time commitment.
  • High-impact product ownership: Take responsibility for trust and safety initiatives on an AI-powered platform with more than 50 million users.
  • Strategic influence: Shape critical decisions around AI moderation, age verification, red teaming, and regulatory compliance.
  • Direct leadership collaboration: Work closely with senior product, engineering, and legal and safety stakeholders.
  • Professional growth: Gain valuable experience addressing complex trust and safety challenges in a rapidly growing AI technology environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
