For an accomplished partnership leader motivated by meaningful social impact, this role provides significant ownership, executive visibility, and the opportunity to build long-term corporate relationships that advance mission and revenue goals.

Accountabilities

  • Establish annual and multi-year corporate revenue goals, pipeline targets, retention objectives, and partnership growth strategies.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified corporate prospects capable of generating significant new revenue.
  • Identify emerging industries, companies, and market opportunities that align with organizational priorities and mission.
  • Develop strategies to diversify corporate revenue through philanthropy, sponsorships, cause marketing, workplace giving, employee engagement, and other partnership models.
  • Provide regular forecasting, pipeline analysis, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to the Chief Development Officer and senior leadership.
  • Lead the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, and closing of significant national corporate partnerships.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior corporate decision-makers across corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, community affairs, marketing, human resources, employee engagement, and related functions.
  • Create customized partnership opportunities connecting corporate priorities with programs, mission, and geographic reach.
  • Lead high-level presentations, proposals, negotiations, partnership agreements, and executive-level discussions.
  • Represent the organization at corporate meetings, conferences, industry gatherings, and external events.
  • Engage executive leadership, Board members, volunteers, and network leaders to open doors and advance high-value corporate prospects.
  • Manage a portfolio of significant national corporate relationships, developing annual relationship plans, growth strategies, engagement opportunities, stewardship activities, and renewal timelines.
  • Build multi-year partnerships designed to increase both financial investment and mission engagement.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to expand existing relationships through sponsorships, cause marketing, philanthropy, workplace giving, employee engagement, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure corporate partners receive meaningful reporting and communications demonstrating the impact of their investment.
  • Lead renewal, upgrade, and expansion strategies for major corporate relationships while serving as an executive-level escalation point for complex partnerships.
  • Collaborate across Programs, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and Affiliate Services to design and deliver successful partnership activations.
  • Establish clear partnership processes covering deliverables, financial commitments, responsibilities, timelines, recognition, reporting, and expectations.
  • Coordinate complex activations involving multiple internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications on cause-marketing campaigns, sponsorship recognition, storytelling, and corporate communications.
  • Work with Finance on revenue forecasting, gift processing, budgeting, reporting, and fulfillment of contractual commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop partnership or fundraising professionals while building a high-performing corporate partnerships function.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, strategic partnerships, sponsorship, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success securing and growing significant multi-year corporate partnerships at a national level while achieving ambitious revenue targets.
  • Experience within a national nonprofit, chapter-based organization, federation, or similarly complex organization is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to navigate relationships involving national stakeholders with different priorities, responsibilities, and decision-making structures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing fundraising or partnership professionals.
  • Strong understanding of corporate philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, sponsorship, employee engagement, and related partnership models.
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and convert a substantial corporate prospect pipeline.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, proposal development, relationship management, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across functions and influence colleagues, leaders, and partners without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong financial acumen, including revenue forecasting, pipeline analysis, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage corporate portfolios, pipelines, activities, relationships, and forecasts.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong judgment, disciplined execution, and the ability to move comfortably between high-level strategy and hands-on relationship development.
  • Highly collaborative, adaptable, organized, and comfortable operating in a complex, mission-focused environment.
  • Salary range starting at $110,000.
  • Full-time remote position in the United States.
  • Regular national travel for corporate partner meetings, conferences, events, and organizational activities.
  • Work schedule primarily aligned with the Eastern Time zone.

  • Disability and life insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and floating holidays.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a national corporate partnerships function.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
