Senior Technical Marketing Manager

Location:

Candidates based in San Jose, CA or Phoenix, AZ are preferred. We are also open to considering candidates located remotely in the US.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Marketing Manager to lead the definition and architectural development of Power electronics system solutions for Solid State Transformer architectures. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive innovation at the intersection of power electronics, functional safety, and system integration. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation power electronics platforms by collaborating with cross-functional teams and OEM/ Tier 1 partners to deliver robust, scalable, and standards-compliant system architectures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of working closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)/ Tier 1, contributing to the definition and development of complex, system-level architectures. This includes cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to align technical requirements with product strategy and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system architecture definition for next-generation power electronics solutions, ensuring alignment with functional safety, performance, and scalability requirements.
  • Expertise in Solid State Devices, AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion and topologies is a key requirement.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and internal cross-functional teams (including product, design, systems, software, and validation) to define and refine system-level requirements and interfaces.
  • Drive end-to-end architectural decisions, from concept through production, balancing trade-offs across power, sense & control, thermal, cost, and safety constraints.
  • Work with the Functional safety team to ensure compliance with ISO 26262, UL safety and other relevant automotive or Industrial safety standards. Functional safety experience is good to have but not mandatory.
  • Translate customer and market requirements into robust, modular, and reusable system architectures that support long-term product roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to systems engineering teams, guiding best practices in architecture modeling, safety analysis, and system validation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, and integrate relevant innovations into architectural planning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in power electronics systems focusing on Solid State Devices, AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion topologies and architecture.
  • Strong background in electrical and thermal modeling, simulations, and bench testing.
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into customer-ready specifications.
  • Hands-on experience in system architecture of high voltage power electronics products in automotive safety critical applications or Industrial applications.
  • Experience in collaborating with Tier 1 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) on the development and integration of power electronics systems. This includes a deep understanding of system-level requirements, component selection, and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions in complex product environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field with a focus on power electronics, automotive systems, or semiconductor technologies.
  • Deep understanding of solid-state switching technologies (e.g., SiC, GaN) and their application in high-reliability automotive and industrial environments.
  • Experience working at OEM or Tier -1 on Power electronic solutions for Solid State Transformer is an added bonus.
  • Proven experience architecting systems that meet ASIL-C/D requirements under ISO 26262, including development of safety concepts, technical safety requirements, and safety cases.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and system integration challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make high-impact architectural decisions in ambiguous or evolving technical environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners at all levels.
  • Prior experience representing technical strategy in customer engagements, industry working groups, or standardization bodies is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
