Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative AI Agents & Automation Specialist to design, implement and optimise intelligent AI agents and automated business workflows.

This is a no-code / low-code position. Programming experience is not required.

The successful candidate will use modern AI platforms and automation tools to develop practical solutions that streamline business operations, eliminate repetitive tasks, improve productivity and integrate intelligent automation into existing business systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have successfully built and implemented AI agents and business automation solutions in real-world environments.

This is a hands-on implementation role, not a traditional software development position.

Key Responsibilities

AI Agent Development & Implementation

  • Design, configure and deploy intelligent AI agents using no-code and low-code platforms.
  • Develop AI agents capable of performing multistep tasks and interacting with business systems.
  • Build AI-powered virtual assistants for customer service, administration and operational functions.
  • Configure AI agents to retrieve information, interpret instructions and execute predefined business processes.
  • Develop knowledge-based AI assistants using company documentation and internal information.
  • Test, monitor and continuously improve AI agent accuracy, reliability and performance.

Business Process Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency through automation.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using platforms such as n8n, Make, Microsoft Power Automate or Zapier.
  • Integrate AI tools with CRM systems, email platforms, databases, spreadsheets and other business applications.
  • Configure workflows using prebuilt integrations, webhooks and API connectors.
  • Automate data capture, document processing, reporting, notifications and administrative tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation workflows.

AI Integration & Optimisation

  • Configure AI models and tools such as OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
  • Develop and optimise prompts, agent instructions and workflow logic.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into existing business processes.
  • Monitor AI usage, operational costs and automation effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the use of AI across business functions.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure secure handling of business information.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' practical experience in business automation, AI implementation, workflow development or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience building and implementing AI agents or AI-powered business automations.
  • Practical experience with at least one recognised automation platform, such as n8n, Make, Power Automate, Zapier or equivalent.
  • Experience configuring and working with AI platforms such as OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
  • Strong understanding of workflow logic, conditional processes and automated decision-making.
  • Experience connecting business applications through existing integrations, webhooks or API connectors.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical automation solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

No formal programming qualification or coding experience is required.

A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Systems, Digital Automation or a related field will be advantageous. Demonstrable practical experience will carry greater weight than formal qualifications.

  • AI Agent Development: Essential
  • No-Code / Low-Code Automation: Essential
  • n8n: Highly advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Make / Microsoft Power Automate / Zapier: Practical experience with at least one recognised automation platform
  • OpenAI / ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini: Practical experience with AI tools and platforms
  • Prompt Engineering: Essential
  • Workflow Design & Logic: Essential
  • Business System Integrations: Essential
  • Webhooks & API Connectors: Working knowledge required
  • AI Knowledge Bases: Advantageous
  • WhatsApp AI Automation: Advantageous
  • CRM / ERP Automation: Advantageous
  • AI Voice Agents: Advantageous
  • Multistep AI Workflows: Highly advantageous

Essential Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must be able to demonstrate at least TWO working AI agents or business automation solutions they have personally developed or implemented.

At least one project must demonstrate an AI-powered agent capable of interpreting information, making decisions within defined parameters and interacting with tools or connected business systems.

Candidates should be prepared to explain:

  • The business problem the solution addressed.
  • The AI and automation platforms used.
  • Their personal involvement in developing the solution.
  • How the solution operates.
  • The results or business improvements achieved.

Examples of relevant projects include AI customer service agents, automated email management, CRM automation, AI-powered WhatsApp assistants, intelligent document processing and multistep business automation workflows.
