Start date: From 27 December or from 27 January
Salary: Market rate depending on qualifications and experience
For a family with two children, a daughter (5.5 years) and a son (1.5 years), we are looking for an experienced, warm-hearted and reliable nanny to provide long-term support in everyday family life.
We wish for a committed individual who enjoys accompanying the children in their development, building a trusting relationship with them, and becoming a fixed part of their daily routine.
Expectations for the care
The two children are at different developmental stages and accordingly have different needs.
The son, at 1.5 years old, still requires a lot of immediate attention, security and age-appropriate guidance.
The daughter, at 5.5 years, is already more independent but wants to be challenged, creatively engaged and supported in her development.
Therefore, we are looking for a nanny who has experience with both age groups, recognises different needs, can set priorities and remains calm, patient and confident even in demanding situations.
Particularly important are:
- A loving, patient and at the same time clear educational style with age-appropriate boundaries
- Active and varied activities without screen time
- Creative activities such as crafting, playing, reading aloud and joint outings
- Lots of exercise and time outdoors
- Independent planning and organisation of the care routine
- Initiative, forward-thinking and organisational talent
- Open, transparent communication and a trusting collaboration with us parents
- Must be comfortable with pick-up and drop-off duties
Working hours
- Monday: 10:30-18:00
- Tuesday: 10:30-18:00
- Thursday: 10:30-18:00
- Occasional evening care by mutual agreement would be desirable.
Typical daily routine
10:30 - Start of work
Arrival & preparation of lunch as well as minor household tasks, for example unloading the dishwasher or tidying up.
Monday
- 11:50: Pick up daughter from kindergarten
- Shared lunch at home
- 14:00: Pick up son from daycare
- Afternoon: Care of both children, playing, creative activities, outings or accompanying leisure activities
Tuesday and Thursday
- 11:50: Pick up daughter from kindergarten
- Shared lunch at home
- 13:50: Return daughter to kindergarten
- 14:00: Pick up son from daycare
- 15:30: Pick up daughter from kindergarten
- Subsequent care of both children
Until 18:00
Age-appropriate activities, possibly light household tasks such as tidying up or preparing dinner.
At 18:00 the parents take over again.
Childcare always has priority. This is explicitly a nanny position and not a combined nanny/household help role.
However, tidiness is very important and a prepared, simple evening meal is desirable.
Requirements profile
Mandatory requirements
- Several years of verifiable experience in caring for toddlers and kindergarten children
- Ideally experience in simultaneously caring for siblings of different ages
- Strong independence, initiative and organisational skills

- High sense of responsibility, reliability and flexibility
- Good German skills for daily communication with the children
- Willingness to regularly undertake kindergarten and daycare journeys
- Driving licence and car are mandatory
- Non-smoker
- Verifiable references from previous care relationships
Advantages
- Educational training or comparable qualification
- Experience in long-term care of a family
- Willingness for occasional evening shifts by arrangement
What we offer
- A long-term position with clearly defined, fixed working days
- Plannable working hours
- A varied and lively family environment
- Room for own ideas and independent organisation of the care routine
- An open, respectful and appreciative collaboration on equal footing
What is particularly important to us in the selection
Besides professional experience, we place great value on personal compatibility.
We are not looking for a mere caregiver who carries out given tasks, but a nanny who thinks actively, takes responsibility, organises everyday life proactively and meets the different needs of both children.
A trusting, long-term relationship between the nanny, our children and us parents is especially important to us.
* Occasional evening care by mutual agreement would be desirable.
