We are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer who thrives on the manufacturing floor and enjoys working directly with operators, supervisors, maintenance teams, and quality personnel to solve problems and improve performance. This role is focused on delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, throughput, yield, and cost through data-driven decision making, statistical analysis, and continuous process optimization.

This individual will spend significant time in production areas identifying opportunities, validating improvements, and leading initiatives that enhance operational performance.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Within this role, success will be measured by the ability to:
  • Improve process capability, quality performance, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and process variation.
  • Increase throughput and operational productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Identify, implement, and sustain process improvements that deliver measurable business results.
  • Support and improve equipment reliability through collaboration with Maintenance and Operations teams.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions that prevent recurring issues.
  • Lead manufacturing projects that improve capacity, automation, safety, ergonomics, and operational effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Manufacturing Support

  • Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor to monitor processes, identify opportunities, and quickly resolve production issues.
  • Analyze process performance using statistical methods and manufacturing data to reduce variation and improve consistency.
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain process parameters that achieve production, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Establish and monitor process control strategies to ensure processes remain stable and capable.
  • Partner closely with production teams to identify bottlenecks and improve workflow efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as DMAIC, 8D, A3, Fishbone Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Measure and communicate improvements through KPIs including yield, scrap, OEE, cycle time, uptime, throughput, and cost savings.

Equipment Reliability & Project Leadership

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering to improve equipment reliability and process stability.
  • Support equipment commissioning, startup, validation, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Lead capital improvement projects, automation initiatives, tooling improvements, and manufacturing enhancements.
  • Ensure process and equipment changes are successfully implemented and sustained.

Quality & Compliance

  • Partner with Quality teams to investigate process-related defects and nonconformances.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions that drive long-term process improvements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop standardized work, process documentation, and operating procedures that support consistency and best practices.
  • Other duties maybe assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • 1-3+ years of Process Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success improving manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by practical manufacturing experience.
  • Proven ability to influence operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training or certification.
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing processes and production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Work Environment

  • This is a highly interactive manufacturing-floor-based position requiring frequent engagement with production personnel and process observation activities.
  • Candidates should enjoy spending substantial time in production areas rather than working primarily from an office setting.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
