The posting

The Jonsson Workwear Technology Team is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of IT hardware, software and networking of computers within the organisation. They work closely alongside various teams within the business to ensure service excellence and technological functionality.

The Syspro Developer role forms part of the Jonsson Workwear Technology team, and the individual will be responsible for the technical design, development and support of Business /Web solutions to integrate into our Syspro ERP system and other web platforms

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design, develop and support custom solutions to augment Syspro functionality.
  • Support and maintain inter-company transaction processing software modules.
  • Support and maintain EDI and B2B processing software modules.
  • Design and develop solutions to automate manual processes.
  • Define, apply and improve standards and procedures to the SDLC process to ensure compliance to secure development best-practice and audit requirements.
  • Maintain application source code according to industry best practice using Jonsson’s Azure DevOps platform.
  • Catalog and maintain system documentation of all custom solutions deployed across the Group.
  • Engage with system users and perform business process and user requirements analysis for new application developments.
  • Document functional and technical design and architecture of existing and new developments.
  • Collaborate with external outsource vendors to deliver web application development projects when required.
  • Providing support and development for the business on delivery of data and content to E-Business Projects on the different portals.

The experience we’re looking for:

  • Over 8 years hands-on experience developing and supporting Syspro custom modules in the Manufacturing sector.
  • Expert knowledge and experience working with the following development toolsets: Microsoft .net framework C# JavaScript CSS HTML5
  • A strong understanding of Syspro ERP core architecture and EDI methods.
  • Solid working experience using secure software development frameworks e.g. OWASP
  • Suitable tertiary IT qualification.
  • Syspro and Microsoft Commercial certifications advantageous.
  • Has strong technical knowledge in IT Systems Development and SDLC processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and IT networks would be advantageous.
  • Previous Project and Leadership roles would be beneficial.
